Steak and pepper pie: temperature was spot on, steak was tender and chunky with a delicious gravy, strong in pepper (too much for me). Pastry was soft with a crunchy top. 8/10Pink finger bun: plain roll which was very soft and not overly sweet, like eating a baked cloud, amazing. Strawberry icing is strawberry flavoured not plain with food colouring, however the flavour is not overpowering which gave the sweetness a fruity punch. 10/10We were just travelling through and trusted the reviews, heading back for round 2 now!

I used to work in the maitland area and used to go there for lunch now I travel from Cessnock to there and buy in bulk they are the best pies

Steer clear of the pies, they are disgusting. Full of gristle, bits of bone and soggy pastry… there are definitely better places around Maitland to get a pie so don’t disappoint yourself by coming here
