Australia Post - Sawtell LPO

I have never written a negative online review, but unfortunately today's experience prompted me to do so. The lady who served my daughter and I was extremely rude when I went in to lodge my passport renewal yesterday and then again today when we went in to lodge it for my kids. She huffed and sighed very rudely when we said that we were in for a passport appointment (which we had booked online) and she said that she was so busy and hadn't even done the mail yet. She then proceeded to speak tersley when pointing out that my daughter did not have the right ID. I was appalled at the treatment we received on both days and as a local to the area, I will not be returning to this business again.

Needed ink for a Brother printer in a hurry, I went to Sawtell Post Office to avoid town. The lovely staff there rang the supplier while I was there and two days later the ink had arrived. I could not have asked for better or more efficient service. Thanks

That moment when you politely ask for a pair of scissors to cut the packaging tape on your parcel and you get a slightly frosty look then handed a pair without a word spoken! If COVID transmission was worrying them then they could have explained that & refused my request. Otherwise a friendly smile and a no problem" would go a long way. My delivery questions were answered clinically and my parcel was submitted successfully."

I feel for Jenny Barron, because I had a similar bad experience today. After my daughter lost her Passport overseas, she went to Pyrmont LPO. Because she had to verify her identity again, they couldn't provide her a Lodgement Number for her new Passport at that time. Instead, they gave her a scannable Reference Number for the further documents they requested.Initially, I went to Coffs Harbour Palm's Centre with that scannable Reference Number and my Passport as advised by the staff at Pyrmont LPO. A copy was requested to be sent with the subject scannable Reference Number to Pyrmont LPO. At that time I was further advised by Coffs Harbour staff that they would also have to observe my original Birth Certificate and send a copy of it as well, to facilitate my daughters identification.As Sawtell LPO is in my local area and I wasn't coming back in to Coffs Harbour again, the Coffs Harbour staff member advised me to take the documents to Sawtell LPO.So as advised, I went to Sawtell LPO. After informing the lady behind the counter of my daughter's Pass Port inquiry I was sternly informed to stand to one side. The extremely rude lady then informed me that she would need a Lodgement Number. I attempted to explain to her that the scannable Reference No was the only number my daughter had been given and what she and I had been told to do by the staff from Prymont and Coffs Harbour LPO.The lady further informed me that I needed to fill in another form. Being confused I rang my daughter and passed that information on. My daughter questioned this course of action as it wasn't what she'd been told. In an effort to prevent any further misinformation and expedite the whole process, I offered the lady to speak to my daughter on my phone and the lady rudely refused to do so.In the end I walked out in disgust. It was clear by the ladies demeanor and attitude she was not happy and/or interested in doing Passport inquiries. Maybe she doesn't get paid for doing them, I don't know. But if she isn't interested, then there's no need to take it out on the customer.I traveled back into Coffs Harbour. The staff there were friendly, helpful and didn't require a further form and/or Logement Number, because I had the scannable Reference Number. Will be telling ALL my local friends NOT to go to Sawtell LPO.

Was directed to Sawtell LPO from another branch because I had to have an urgent ID verification done. Unfortunately I walked in 2 minutes before closing time, but I was helped graciously and with poise. The ID verification was done effeciently and kept Tracey busy well after closing time.Much better service was given than what I cold have realistically expected.Thanks for the wonderful service!

I need to get a passport renewed very quickly. The advice and guidance the team at the Sawtell Post Office provided was second to none, I can't thank them enough!We are incredibly lucky to have such a great team based here is Sawtell, they always go above and beyond!!

Janemaree and her team have never let me down! I've come in with some really odd requests over the years, which have always been met with sound advice, efficiency and often some well-deserved ribbing for my eccentricities.This is a small post shop which is pretty darn busy. If I have something complicated or time-consuming, I will go at a quiet time of day, or allow others in the queue with simple transactions to go ahead of me. (Perhaps some other reviewers would receive better service if they Realised the world doesn't revolve around them - we're all in this together!)I would highly recommend the Sawtell Post Office for their great service, humour and range of packaging & stationary essentials, as well as some great gifts and Sawtell mementos (fabulous t-shirts - plenty more sizes behind the counter - just ask).
