Nice coffee, ultra slow service to the point I was ready to walk away with nothing.

Nana was a bit abrupt and over cooked the milk and toast. But bacon sandwich was decent enough once the black was scrapped off. And what ever you do, don't ask if there's a toilet.

A very interesting place! Well worth a look. Disappointed with the scones they were so small like biscuits!

If you visit Burra, do it properly. Come here and order a tiddy oggy to eat in. The old timey atmos adds to the experience, and the proprietor is more than happy to talk about the tiddy oggy (which is a traditional Cornish pasty with built-in apple pie) and why it played such a significant role in Burra's early days as a mining town. A great little cafe/bookshop.

Advertises on the door and online that it is open till 2pm,. We get there at 12:20pm in January to find the place closed. Lady saw me at the door and said, “I close at 1pm in summer, 2pm is winter months closing time’… confusing? Being a big tourist town it’s bad for business to operate that way I’d say. Having travelled a distance to try out the shop after a friend suggested it, it was disappointing.

Great little shop full of surprises, antiques to buy, terrific menu, great coffee and amazingly friendly staff. Sit inside and enjoy the ambience or venture outside and take in the views.

Cafe looked inviting however the Coffee was terrible so hot you couldn't drink it actually burnt my tongue. The coffee was like dish water instant would have been better, left coffee on the table and went to the coffee shop around the corner. Sad because I have never written a comment like this before.
