Henry Lawson Cave
Fascinating part of Australian history, at first i didn't believe it until I read up on it .After visiting the tavern he would sleep it off in a little cave in Flat Rock Gully, listening to the cascade of the Naremburn Falls.

A place of great Australian history. Not really a place for a picnic or anything like that if that's what you are hoping for.

4.7 - So interesting to find out this was where the poet Henry Lawson used to stay! And all the history behind it!! The red hands are very prominent and I love how the council uses it for events. What a great idea!!

If you love about history place. I do recommend Henry Lawson Cave, history landmark in naremburn. It is small cave in Flat Rock Gully. Check it out this place treasures of Sydney, Henry Lawson Cave located between the suburbs of Willoughby and St Leonards in Sydney North. Fantastic place where Henry Lawson used to trek to and sleep of a night. Great for outdoor activities.

Henry Lawson Cave
Natural rock shelter used by poet Henry Lawson to contemplate nature and sleep-off after pub excursions. It's in Flat Rock Park, which has an uplifting story regarding reclamation. The park was a landfill and now has been returned to its natural beauty. The periodic Bush Poetry events are delightful.

Henry Lawson Cave
Gave 5 stars as it is the only shelter after the bottom of bridges towards tunks ParkThere is a table but it is in the rain so I will have to sleep on the rocks, there is only one rock not too steepWhat was Henry Lawson doing here? It is hardly a place for inspiration, personally I would rather walk to lane Cove national Park.

Henry Lawson Cave
A great overhang to offer protection from a sudden rainstorm (as occurred when I first passed this cave years ago). There are poetry readings at this cave from time-to-time. Easy access from cycle/walking path. Car parking nearby. No cafe, no bathrooms, no library of Henry Lawson poetry [that'd be a treat - a street library exclusively dedicated to Henry Lawson works!]
