Allow me to begin by saying that I am a man of simple tastes. On a joyous family outing to bat country with my wife and son I spied from the corner of my eye the most beautiful and alluring art in the form of delicate baked deliciousness arranged like perfect wild flowers amongst the weeds of Bendigo.Imagine! My amazement and shock when upon entering the establishment housing these sweet little treats, I find myself face to face with kind humans with an obvious passion for the finer things in life and a passion for creation umongst the bland of a Victorian city setting.Now put yourself in my shoes, 6 hours after purchasing what I expected to be a standard although well decorated eclaire I find in my hands the nostalgic beauty of a hand crafted childhood masterpiece with a modern spin that astounds the senses and puts corporations and machine manufactured confectioneries to shame!My sincere and heart felt thanks from my self and my family to the bluebird patisserie.

So many delicious sweet options at this patisserie which sits in the heart of Bendigo. Service was a little slow and I don’t know if their system is the most efficient. Totally worth the wait though. The cream filling in my cronut was so tasty and one of the best custard kisses I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend, nothing else like this in Bendigo.

Walked past the amazing display of sweet treats on offer. I joined the queue. Yes, there was a queue even with 5 staff in this tiny shop. I had my eye on an almond croissant. Then it happened! The customer in front of me bought both of the remaining croissants! When I was asked what I wanted, I ordered my double shot flat white and expressed my disappointment in missing out on an almond croissant. The owner overheard me and said I could have one out of the oven that were finishing off if I was prepared to wait. I waited. I drank most of my coffee and ate a portugese tart. My croissant arrived, with a warning that it was piping hot. It was everything I expected including the omission of very unnecessary dusting of icing sugar. Yep!! I’ll be back. BTW this place set the benchmark on how fast a coffee can come out to your table and be the right temperature and flavour. 10/10

Lovely staff and unique atmosphere, but a little let down by the deserts. An over use of gelatin in the cheesecake made the texture unpleasant.I'd still go back, just avoid anything non pastry.

Exceptional cakes and coffee. Hard to believe this place exists in Bendigo. Great people and service too.

The offerings in Bendigo, for a cheap and cheerful lunch are few and far between. But I’ll definitely be revisiting this cute little patisserie. I had a delicious chicken, cheese and leek pie for lunch and it was delicious. Subtle flavours and a touch of France. Next time I might break the diet for a pastry or two! They were very tempting !

I love Bluebird Patisserie and I have been here a few times. Love everything that I’ve eaten here but I do wish that they can label all the pastries and desserts so that it would be easier for me and other customers to choose. The labels would also make it easier for the staff as they don’t have to waste time answering what is this and that.

Had the almond croissant from here and it was yummy would definitely come back here if I was in da area. Yeah you got that yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy. That was in my head when I ate the almond croissant ha ha ma man.
