Illusions 2 Whitsundays

Loved like a family!!We went for a whole day cruising with Joseph and Naomi which are the instructors with a huge experience background. They're super friendly and take a complete care of you. They took us for a beautiful spot but NOT crowded which makes such a difference when you're searching for a wonderful time out in the ocean. They're very passionate about the ocean and they make sure you're safe all the time. Naomi took a special care of me on scuba diving, I was in a bit of panic however she guided me and calmed me down under water so I could have a great experience on my first diving. I truly appreciate all the care and fully recommend them for your ocean experience at Whitsundays.

Fantastic day trip. Naomi and Josef were friendly and knowledgeable. Snorkelling spots were excellent. We saw 3 turtles! I would highly recommend this if you enjoy snorkelling and don't want to be with the crowds.Kathryn and Jack

We had such a great day out. Naomi & Joseph are very friendly and professional. Naomi went above and beyond recommending other great travel destinations in Queensland. This trip is great because you get a whole day out to explore hidden gems in a small group, it almost feels like your own private tour, great value for money! This trip exceeded expectations!! A truly magical day on the ocean. Terrific boat, great tour operators (equally passionate about turtles as I am) and awesome locations for snorkelling/diving. The amount of fish and turtles I was surrounded by on our stops will leave me grinning for weeks. Food was decent and there was no hesitation in accommodating gluten free members of our group. Such a cruisey, no hassle, quintessentially Whitsundays, day on the ocean. LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!

Had such an amazing time snorkeling and scuba diving with Naomi. We saw so much sealife and coral, she took her time and pointed out all the cool fish.So many turtles!Joseph was great to talk to and offered so much information on the area and the sealife.The catamaran is so nice to relax on. 10/10 would book again.

Highly recommended as the first stop for anyone visiting the region! As long time locals, Josef and Naomi are sure to make a great first impression, not only so, they are aptly placed to recommend you the best places to dine at for the rest of your trip!I booked a diving trip with Illusions 2, including a pick up and drop off. I can say the quality of the experience was maintained from beginning to end!The skipper, Josef, is a multi-talented guy. I had a safe and comfortable ride in the catamaran. And he was happy to liven up the atmosphere with his amicable charm. Very enjoyable to chat with.My friend and I are weak swimmers, but we had no problems enjoying the trip and scuba experience. Instructor Naomi was gentle and reliable the whole time.The area we were diving at, Blue Pearl Bay, had some nice underwater views for both scuba and snorkeling. Some single coral colonies were larger than my dinner table! And there were many schools of fish, big and small. We also saw at least three turtles—!!!Although I didn’t think 5m would be too deep, I did find it to be a little challenging. Secretly, I wanted to quit a few times, but as long as I was breathing, I was fine. And I’m glad I persevered. I felt so safe under Naomi’s care. Thank you so much Naomi!Naomi also took some underwater pictures for us, a nice memento from the trip~ Also I was relieved to know that the Illusions 2 crew do care a lot about the reef, they make sure that we are respectful to the reef and guide us to ensure we don’t do anything or bring anything in that may potentially damage it.Lunch was not bad! Although please recommend to the catering company to invest in a rice cooker — ( ・∇・) that rice was dry and hard.The ship is well-maintained, the interior is lovely. Nice toilet too.Finally, I think best thing about the trip was the small group. Due to this, we were able to have such a special and personalised experience.Thanks heaps Josef and Naomi!Also Wednesdays are Wacky Wednesdays!

Amazing organisation and staff!Naomi and Josef are super friendly and funny. We went as a couple and really enjoyed our day trip on board of Illusions 2. We were a small group of 11 and that was perfect. Food was very good too!We both snorkelled and dived in the beautiful ocean, meeting with turtles, fish and newborn corals.Must do!Cheers to you Naomi and Josef!

This was a brilliant trip with Joseph and Naomi, lovely people who look after their customers from beginning to end. Naomi was extremely patient with us as novice snorkellers. Lunch was great too and we got loads of tips from Naomi about our forthcoming trip to New Zealand. Highly recommend this over any other trip in the Whitsundays.

What a fantastic value for money snorkeling tour, we had such a lovely day thank you so much Naomi and Joseph!! Beautiful spots to visit, all the equipment was clean and well kept, warm and relaxed atmosphere, great food, very accommodating - highly recommend.
