We’ve absolutely loved living in Macedon after moving there from South Yarra ten years ago, it’s so well connected and serviced – that we never looked back. But our small kids are getting bigger and now we’re working from home more, we were looking for something still local but with more land and potentially some ponies etc.Peter was the obvious choice to help us as he intimately knows the market in this part of the Macedon Ranges; we had regular chats over the years about what our options could be if we would scale up and he always kept us in the loop along the way.When the time came to take the next step, Peter was ready and found us a buyer within 48 hours – he clearly keeps close tabs on who is looking and who is selling and then matching them up.Peter not only sold our house, he also assisted us with buying another – with advice on what to look for, and the order of proceedings when dealing with the agent and vendor of the house we were purchasing. It made a potentially stressful experience quite calm and well organised.I should mention that Peter is supported by an excellent team: both Elona and Scott are Macedon locals, courteous, responsive with a great sense of humour. We were extremely disappointed by the way the negotiations for the purchase of a property were conducted. We felt it was disrespectful and dismissive of TCC to offer the property and forward the contracts to the lower bidder without affording us the courtesy of another phone call to fully explain the vendors' real issue and give us the chance to improve our offer.In fact the vendors' real concern was only passed onto us after the contracts had been forwarded to the other bidders. Had we been aware of all the facts, we could have made arrangements to meet the vendors' requirements. The vendors were also not aware that we had a significant amount of additional money which we were prepared to spend to secure the property. Had the negotiations been conducted the way they should have been, TCC would have been able to pass this information along to the vendors and the outcome may have been different.We feel that not only has TCC not done the right thing by us, as the highest bidders, but certainly not obtained the best possible result for the vendors.

I want to say thank you to the entire TCC team who over the past month or so has been a breath of fresh air as we did the rounds of Macedon open homes. Everyone we met was easy to deal with, supportive, transparent, and understanding. My wife and I were impressed by the team on multiple occasions and were hoping to do a deal with them, as they just made us feel welcomed. The team at TCC have set the real estate agent bar very high and made us extra excited to be moving into the Macedon Ranges!
