Maygars Hill Vineyard and Cottage

We absolutely adore visiting the Maygars cellar door. The wine is glorious, the vista wonderful and the Maygars team are always such wonderful hosts.

Lovely hostess and the wines are gorgeous. Can tell this is a very tightly managed ship and the grapes are very selectively picked. Highly recommend.

Amazing, simply amazing. When you're on a drive from Melbourne to Sydney and you just want to take a break and have a sip of wine whist having beautiful conversations, this is the place you want to be. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by a wonderful lady Jenny. The experience was priceless, she was so welcoming and uplifted our moods (trust me, when you're driving that long a distance, the last thing you'd want is to have to deal with nasty people). We had such a laugh while enjoying some of her beautiful wine. Jenny is such a genuinely wonderful person and she definitely has a place in my heart. I highly recommend this winery. You wouldn't want to go anywhere else, the wine, conversations and ambiance was simply perfect. P.s. You can grab a bottle of wine and sit outdoors, where its nice and peaceful with rows and rows of vineyards.

What a surprise this place was, we had visited all the local wine tasting options around Nagambie over a few days and were looking for something different. Searched on Google Maps and found Maygars, so decided to visit and were hosted by Jenny, exceptional host, great conversationalist and even better wines. By far the best wines for tasting we have had anywhere with each one on offer being exceptional .. naturally purchased a variety on offer and will definitely be placing more orders and recommending !

Couldn't get a better host than Jenny. Friendly and informative person whom cares to share anything from the stories about the grapes to her travels. Lovely boutique winery and the wines are beautiful. I got the Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 ($28) and the Shiraz (2014). Lovely and dare I say, I'll be back soon enough :)

A boutique winery not far off the freeway, it’s well worth a visit.Specialist in Red wines which range from $25 .We spent a lovely afternoon here at a book launch for Australian Women Pilots.

An outstanding welcome, wines absolutely brilliant. A great place to bring family of all ages to stay. Thank you..a yearly retreat for us !

Beautiful winery along the Hume Highway, so glad that we decided to stop by. Jenny's absolutely lovely, very warm welcome in the middle of our long drive, really enjoyed the conversations and her hospitality. Definitely hope to stop by again if I have the chance.
