No bookings, just turn up and wait your turn for a cut. While sitting waiting for my turn I watched the the barber's do their thing and they were were both good at their craft, both here from South Africa hoping to bring their families here to start a new life in the Hawke's bay.

Used to be good, now there's new staff and the last 4 times I've tried to get a haircut they've gone on break and made me wait 45mins with 3 kidswhile they have a cuppa.. .seems like they don't really like cutting kids hairor something..

We came today but was busy so headed out and returned still a wait but all I can say is Tai and Grayson you both are amazing the time and dedication you take with every single client is priceless. The wait is all worth it. I have totally enjoyed watching you both work very hard. Your skills are valuable. Thank you

Went in to get my 6 year old son a hair cut, a couple of guys entered after us that clearly knew the barbers in the shop. After waiting for 45 minutes to get a hair cut, the first of the guys that arrived after us got asked into the chair, then around 15 minutes later the second got asked into the chair by the other barber. At this point I got up and left with my very disappointed and upset son. Usually good service, but this terrible experience won’t have us back at this shop.

I was nervous going in and didn’t know what I wanted, something different but I wasn’t sure what, etc. I wasn’t giving them much to work with. But my barber was super patient, gave me his opinion and then a brilliant fresh cut and shave - couldn’t be happier, easily the best haircut I’ve had. Really recommend this place, they made me feel comfortable, clearly know what they’re doing and I walked out feeling like a million bucks. Thanks so much :)

Good staff good atmosphere and awesome haircuts

Great Barber Shop, apart from a short wait tonhave my hair cut everything else was excellent. The cut is great and the barber was very friendly and we had some great chat. Very professional all round. I would of given 5 stars had it not been for me noticing your sign with your rules where it states food is not welcome in any part of the shop and yet one of the customers (who was waiting for her partner having his haircut)was eating hot chips and even feeding them to her partner while getting his haircut, and you're not supposed to be up there unless invited. If you make rules stick to them. Apart from that this was one of the best cuts I have had for awhile and really enjoyed the chat.

My son has been having his hair cut here since his first haircut. It’s a bit expendy for a kids cut but love that he’s had a really great experience and always walked out looking sharp. Had his haircut with ANOTHER new staff member on Wednesday. It was very quick and the finish just isn’t there. Definitely not the barber experience we expect. This was a $15 cut not a $35 cut.

Well worth the 1 1/2 hour wait! The professionalism given was high class, personal detail to customer needs showed with a high quality cut/shave. Perfection at it's best! We will differently be back in 4 weeks time.
