Canberra Rex Hotel

Hello ANZACCCS very clean and a great location to all your amenities. Rooms are quiet and modern. No pay TV gym needs some work. However, has a nice 20m lap pool washing facilities available, although only 2 machines. Staff very friendly. Restaurant for breakfast average however plenty around for your choice of eateries

We were welcomed from checking in. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet even though there were many guests. All of the staff were very helpful. The views from the Howling Moon are worth it even on a cloudy day. It's only a few blocks walk to the City or catch a tram.

The place is just okay but a service not good. Even it’s a serviced apartment but we expected a better service with what we paid for. Also, be aware about a deposit when you check in. They hold your deposit for long. Never happened to us with other places. We called them back and a lady didn’t sound happy to sort it out for us. Disappointed! Never again.

I had a crown suite. Bed and shower were very comfortable. Just the view was a bit of a letdown, felt like a prison outlook.The bar upstairs is nice and all the staff I encountered were great.

Good size room, with all basic amenities, and affordable too. This was once Canberra's top luxury hotel recently renovated. But I didn't feel it was ever like that. Tried food and tea during conference I participated at the hotel. Food is forgettable and service was bad as they found it difficult to handle 200+ people around. You can order meals at hotels, any other eatory is at least 20+ min walk away.

I’m amending my review due to the level of service Taha has provided me. He has gone above and beyond to help me out with the issue I had and has looked after the situation the whole way up until it got resolved. The Rex is a great place highly recommend.

Had to stand at reception for too long before served as the one person on reception was also making the coffees. I was not the only one standing their either.Hotel needs a good clean as the carpets are showing clear stains. My room had two TVs but only one remote; had two air-conditioners controls but one was busted, and the handle to door between the bedroom and the living room was clearly hanging off the door.I also found the scent of the cleaner, or what ever is going on in the halls, smelled a lot like tobacco smoke though this is personal and did not effect the stars.Will not be staying here again.

Great event here.Lovely and warm inside. Clean venue with added touches like tissues in the bathroom.Some issues with people having trouble getting soap dispensers to work in the bathroom.The coffee from the cafe near reception was hot and they didn't charge extra for almond milk which we loved! Recommend.

I am writing this directly from the room.I have paid $542 for 3 nights in a King room. This claims to be a 4 stars hotel. I have to say I am hugely disappointed. This hotel is not worth the price. The room is quite small, the bed does not meet a 4 stars hotel standard, the wifi signal is pretty weak and the signal in the room is bad. Lastly, when we arrived there was not even a bottle of water in the room. I had to go back downstairs to ask for a bottle of water. Honestly there is nothing special and for the price they should offer a lot more. I would be happy if I had paid $200 less. There are much better hotels for this price. I have also told them about the wifi and they didn’t bother reply to me.
