Murray Downs Resort

Stayed here on a two night business trip.Monday night, noises everywhere inside, from behind fridge, couches under bed.Tuesday night, sitting at the table noticed a mouse scurry behind couch around 7.30, I looked behind couch and there is a mousetrap, same behind second couch.Around 9.15 I hear a snap and went to have a look, sure enough a mouse was caught. The remainder of the night, same thing with noises coming from everywhere, the place was full of mice.At checkout I mentioned this to reception, an apology was offered but it did not seem sincere.It was obviously a known problem as the room had mouse traps, why wasn't this mentioned at booking or reception? No chance of staying there if it was.I stayed in a family unit, what if there were kids and they stuck a finger in one of the traps?The unit was self contained and not serviced daily, a dead mouse could go unnoticed until it started stinking up the place, a bit of a health issue?I won't be posting pictures of the dead mouse but happy to share with hotel management and hear their side of the story.Terrible experience do not stay here!

Our active seniors coach tour stayed 1 night and we received outstanding service from Mick and team. Mick in particular went the extra mile by driving a number of our seniors to and from the nearby club for dinner. We loved the rooms and breakfast in particular . An excellent experience. Highly recommended.

Brilliant golf course.Clean, comfortable rooms with cooked breakfast.Excellent service from the motel, clubhouse and pro shop.We'll be back. Loved it.Only downside, is it's 5km out of town.

Nice clean tidy rooms with lots T, coffee and milk etc. Desk staff were very polite, helpful and courteous. Would definitely stay there again. Meals and club area was excellent too but didn't eat there.

Loved staying at this resort. Rooms could have done with a better clean. Mouldy shower tiles grout. Insects stuck on walls. Bedhead full of dust and dirt, plus pills from previous occupants still on bed head. Vacuum needed and couch with long hair over it. No bedlamp. Fridge door shelf unusable as no shelf bracket. Staff were great.

Wonderful resort with a magnificent golf course. The restaurant has good quality meals at reasonable prices. TAB on site, big screen for the footy, all the basics really for a great golfing weekend with the boys.

One of the best golfing weekends away I've had.Top notch course, ranks as one of my favourites, but beware it's challenging, especially the greens which are fast with undulating surfaces and bunkers strategically placed.A great visit had by all, Clubhouse and restaurant were great with generous meals at affordable prices.

Spent the Easter long weekend at this resort. Good location with a short drive to Swan Hill. The Murray Downs Country club was a short walk from our apartment, which had a great selection for all of the family. The apartment had everything you needed.

We booked a golf getaway for three days checked into the resort chose the “all the golf you can play package” sounds great. No. The pro shop informed us that we could only play one day due to the four day tournament, something the resort failed to notify us when we booked then took no responsibility. Even at the time of deciding on the package they didn’t inform us of the tournament.I would definitely not recommend the resort however the golf course is fabulous.
