Apple Doncaster

Very uncomfortable and disappointing experience with Apple Doncaster for a repair service. As I was gonna travel overseas for a long time, I was concerned if the repair service couldn’t finish before I left. I was assured that the service would be ready by weekend the latest but it did not arrive as scheduled. I tried to call the team for a solution, the lady who picked up the phone was not able to help me as it was beyond her authority. I fully understood and asked if the manger could give me a call back. The lady confirmed and took down my contact. NO call I received yet and as I am leaving the country I have to ask my friend to pick it up for me and see what I can do next.

Been into this store a few times. NOT for repairs or advice. But to purchase apple products. Each and every time I have been I walk out thinking. What has happened to apple’s amazing customer service that they used to pride themselves on. Lots of staff just standing around doing nothing! When I approach a staff member to query about a product that I want to purchase they make you wait a good 30 minutes. Even though they have multiple staff members just chatting to each other. Ok fair enough. But each and every time I have purchased products. The attitude towards customers is really cocky and provide zero information on the product you are purchasing. Even when I ask certain questions about the product you receive eye rolls! It was after this that I thought no thanks. Just went to JB. Atleast they work for your service and provide info on products.

My fiancé came in to the Apple store to fix her broken laptop screen. Damon was amazing and really reassured her. Amazing customer service that we will not forget! Huge thank you for getting our problem fixed without any hassle.

Bought 4 packs of AirTags. The staff were quick to assist and help. They were fast and clear. Very straightforward, will come again.

Very disappointing service and attitude from the staffs. The displays are messy and terrible. The products are in wrong place matching the labels, misleading a lot of times. Have no clear way to manage around and not listening to customers’ requirements. They seemed to have no idea about their own products and bringing wrong devices. Once I require a hard shell Mac protector, they kept me waiting for 30min and told me no stock. They should check and have updated information before. Wasting customers’ time and acting innocent is no tolerance.

It really depends on which staff you get. Some are great, some are average and some of them just make you feel like you never wanna return to Apple. Today I had Louisa and she was lovely. Last time, I had a really tall mid-aged guy and he seemed grumpy and weird.

Chaotic, disorganised atmosphere.Require an appointment to speak to someone about device faults. I walked in with a product issue but was told to make an appointment and had to come in another day. They weren't interested in helping otherwise. When I went at my appointed time the whole thing took less than 10 minutes. Overall it was 3 hours invested on each day for a 10 minute face to face.In my opinion the products are way overpriced and you are herded onto their platform by restricting your freedom of what you can put & do with your device.Not happy.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my nan, Jennifer, who I just got off the phone with. She came into Doncaster Apple Store today to get help updating the apps on her phone. She was extremely impressed with Charlotte and Amy, who were lovely to her. She was so grateful for their help and patience and she had a wonderful experience. They were very kind and talked through everything she needed assistance with. They gave thorough yet understandable information/advice about her options when replacing her battery or buying a new phone. She was raving so much on the phone that I asked if she wanted me to write a review for her. I want to thank Charlotte and Amy myself for helping my nan and treating her with the patience and kindness she deserves but sometimes doesn't get. She was so grateful while talking about her experience to me, so I want Charlotte and Amy to know they really made my nan's day. Thank you!

Strange how a simple process of buying a phone ended up being a marathon exercise. No shortage of staff on the floor but very poorly managed. Huge number of staff at the reception point but very few actually involved in the process of selling their products. I seriously question the ability of management to organise the staff into useful productive teams.
