Ended up on a little adventure through the bush to find a good spot, but well worth it

We kayaked from Kurnell around the outskirts of the reserve and in amongst some of the mangroves. We were mindful to stay out of the restricted areas. It was a beautiful paddle with lot's of variety from navigating through mazes within the mangroves where we relied on our compasses to find our way back out to mazes within the oyster leases where we were thankful for calm waters and the high tide which one also needs to get into the mangroves. It was a weekday, the water was clear with barely a soul around, pristine fine white sandy beaches. Bliss.

Not much here. But I'm glad the migratory birds like it.

Towra Point Nature Reserve
Bit underwhelming.I was expecting a short walk through the bush to a viewing platform. The walk was indeed short, less than 50mt.The view was nice but it's not near much else so you're really driving there for a quick view then move on.

Entering this nature reserve is *NOT* allowed without a permit! There are several signs stating this at the various entrances. Fine if caught: 300$

Best by boat but still a great view from the small lookout. Huge variety of birds to be seen especially migratory types at different times of the year.
