Mount Carbine Caravan Park

Great place, Nikki and Daryl are fantastic hosts and are gradually turning the park into a bird watchers paradise. They refuse to overfill the park, so there’s plenty of space, the amenities are clean and tidy. We’ll definitely stay again.

I love this place. Stayed here a few times over the last year. Nikki and Daryl are such lovely folks, helpful and friendly. Nice big spaces, very clean and well cared for. Loads of birds as there is plenty of surrounding bush and habitat. Over the last 12 months I have seen lots of planting and improvements. I look forward to seeing how the place will look in the coming years as the owners care

What a fantastic find! Great owners. Friendly and helpful. Van storage available for when you head further north to the Cape. Great deal. Stay two nights, one at the beginning of your trip, one at the end, and storage is free. They will also store any excess fridge and freezer stuff for when you come back. Fully fenced acre off lead dog area for your animal to get a good stretch. Great environment, lots of birds, good views of surrounding area. Quiet at night.So happy to have stayed here

I’m not one to leave bad reviews but we were treated poorly on arrival at this park by the male owner. When we followed the vehicle up the hill, he didn’t talk to us, just started barking orders, waving arms around, we had no idea which site was ours, he soon became frustrated by our hesitation. I was told to relax when I asked which site, still not telling us. He then purposely blocked our mirror so we couldn’t see behind us and repeated ‘look at me look at me”, aggressively. “This is what happens when people don’t listen”, he fumed.Not liking his arrogant attitude we politely said we can do it and he said “we don’t have fun here, I just do it.” Never in my 10 years of caravanning have I had such a horrible first impression .It was unsafe not to tell us which site and block our mirror. This van is our home and it could have been damaged from poor communication. I don’t know if we got him on a bad day or if alcohol was involved but it was very very strange!We only came here to do washing but the genius lit a bonfire across from us, leaving it unattended and smoked out all the vans so we couldn’t hang it out. Don’t bother staying here, keep driving, he’ll ruin your day.

Nikki and Darryl have put their heart and soul into the place. It looks wonderful, the amenities are great and the birds incredible! Thanks so much for being so welcoming. I love it here and can't wait to return.

This is a bush caravan park with powered and unpowered sites. It's not your packed to the gills suburban park thankfully. The sites are well spaced with trees placed by nature not a landscaper. The amenities are fine, don't expect floor to ceiling tiles and lots of chrome. The owners are welcoming and friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed a sausage sizzle night, (with TV for the rugby), at the camp kitchen all generously provided for us and cooked by the owners. If you like bush caravan parks this is one of the best.

What a fabulous caravan spot and Nikki and Darryl were so friendly and happy to help with anything. Nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of time for a chat. Clean amenities and laundry. You can leave your van safely with them for free if you camp on your return trip with them. Highly recommend this place. Loved our stay with them.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. A real hidden gem off the highway. Wish we would of found it sooner. Nikki and Darryl are absolutely awesome people,very friendly and informative, helpful and great conversations. They have done such a fantastic job with the place can't wait to go back again.
