Star Car Wash - Town Square Redbank Plains

Had my second visit today. Very happy with the overall clean of my car- smells good, not a single dog hair in sight (despite my dog being a huge shedder) and everything is visibly well-cleaned. Prices are very reasonable for the work they put in. The staff have always been polite to me, any additional charges (e.g, pet hair) are clearly communicated prior to cleaning, and I consider their standards to be high.My first visit did have some miscommunication around a pick-up time. I would suggest having a reasonable pick-up time in mind prior to showing up to save any misunderstandings.I will be returning next time my car needs some love.

Super happy with my car wash and the level of detailing done by the team. The online booking was a breeze and the communication at drop off and pickup was great. I would happily recommend their services to anyone in the area!

Friendly staff and an excellent clean. Needed a good clean out after one of our kids was sick in the car. Got rid of the smell and did a great job with all our extra sand. Seemed a good price too. Thanks!

Very average. I paid for a full polish which included clay bar and wash and polish and interior clean.They used a simple spray polish and no clay bar just a mitt.When I asked if they do they clay bar I was told ,only if needed.So you pay $120 for a clay bar and polish which they may not do.Never again

I wish I read the reviews for detailing. May be okay for a car wash and vacuum but when it comes to detailing look elsewhere!!I booked my car online and when I went to pick it up the car had the heater on max to dry the seats and 5 days later with the windows down in my garage the seats and floor mats are still damp.The exterior detail wasn’t complete. I was told clay bar and swirl treatment were extra by the owner but then when I showed him the website he said “his boys didn’t do it properly” he offered to redo the service along with fixing issues of the interior not being cleaned nor the fuel cap. I accepted to return my car. I showed up the next morning and he tried to tell me he would charge extra for pet hair removal (I had to re-vaccum as there was still pet hair). I told him not to worry I just want a refund to which he told me I booked online therefore I have to get the refund online. This was a lie, I rang online customer care which told me he is responsible for the refund. They then contacted him on my behalf to which he said he never offered a refund. I eventually was given a $115 back out of a $290 detail. I have recleaned the car.I would be very cautious using their detailing services.

TL;DR – The quality of the clean is exceptional, but a few areas were lacking. I’ll attend again, but there is room for improvement.Contacted Star Car Wash specifically for an interior clean due to a lingering pee smell from my dogs puppy stage. They were confident they could remedy this. Aside from this smell, the Car is kept in good condition, regularly vacuumed (except the boot) and has no excessive build up of dirt or dust anywhere. Picture of the boots condition before service included.Looking through their services, I booked (through their online portal) the $185 Interior Detail at 9:30am, I chose this package as there is more than what is offered in the Star Polish and is equal to the more expensive Full Detail and Paint Protection tiers. Specifically, this was:- Vacuum interior including all mats, footwells, seats & boot- Leather seat cleaning & conditioning treatment- Carpet extraction & cloth seat clean (inc. trim)- Cleaning & conditioning of dashboard & internal trims- Clean interior glass to remove smears and streaksAt this stage it’s important to note that the Terms and Conditions reserve the right to advise that heavily soiled vehicles, dog hair, tar & bug removal may attract additional charges for online bookings. What they don’t tell you is:- What those additional costs are- How bad those conditions need to be for Star Car Wash to justify it- They will not clean your car if you don’t agree to itUpon arrival, a man inspected my car to see if any additional work would need to be done. Within seconds he found a minimal amount of dog hair, also commenting that my boot was “extremely dirty”.I was quoted $60 worth of additional charges. If I opted out of that, I was told that all they do for the dashboard is “wipe it down”, which is strange considering this package is supposed to include “Cleaning & conditioning of dashboard & internal trims”. We agreed on 2PM, would receive a phone call confirming the car is ready and we parted ways.We got back just as they were closing at 4. The employees were confused, they thought we agreed to 5, which is confusing for me because according to their hours, they would be closed. After clarifying that their online hours are clearly wrong, I was told it would be an additional hour before my car would be ready. I contacted my wife to come back and pick me up and so we waited.We came back just on 5pm and our car was almost ready. I was told to inspect the car, it was exceptionally clean and well above the standard we had envisioned. But, the cars interior is still very wet, the mats still need drying and the headrests could have water rung out of them. I asked for an itemized list just to finalise the additional payments and to confirm what exactly it was that I paid extra for, I was met with “how much did I charge you again”, which is a red flag for me, as it seems the quoted price is an arbitrary number made on the spot rather than a set price. I answered honestly and paid the money. I then noticed the itemized receipt didn’t include a description of the additional charges, so I asked for another one, in his own words, of what the additional charges were. I was pointed out the total price and the RACQ discount, but seemed to dodge around the itemized list request.After explaining in detail to what I wanted, I opted to just have him write in his own words on the back of the receipt what it was, which is:- Pet Hairs = $20- Polish Inside = $40- Total = $60.I’m still confused as to what the “Polish Inside” is when the package clearly details “Cleaning & conditioning of dashboard & internal trims, this needs to be better explained. I also believe they need to manage their time better so people don’t receive a car with a wet interior after it had been there for 7.5 hours. And they should most certainly get used to itemizing their receipts a lot better than they have.Overall, you can’t argue with the results, the quality of the clean is exceptional, but a few areas were lacking. I’ll attend again, but there is room for improvement. 4 stars.
