I had an Amazing experience from the very second I walked in from lovely triage nurse, excellent emergency team and compassionate treating doctor as well as friendly X-ray staff and including the friendly man who rolled me to X-ray room.Thank you very much for being so professional & making me feel calm during my emergency today. You are all very appreciated.

This place is a joke …Chest pains , brought in via ambulance.Placed in a waiting room.Forgotten about for 7 and a half hours!Was only attended too, after asking when I was going to been seen to say they thought I went home !!The floors are filthy in Ed , the windows are just as bad.Holes in walls all over .Untrained staff that have no idea what it’s like to treat a human45 minutes wait on medication to relieve pain as they have no one to administer it …!!

I have been to the Ballarat base Hospital many times over the years. I have always found from the booking office theatre, emergency and wards Staff have been very helpful conscientious and caring . we are very lucky living in the country. to have such wonderful people to care for us?Margaret Young Ararat

I was in emergency with my housemate for over 6 hours starting at 6:50pm 22/6/2023.At 2:40am we wanted to make sure everything was uploaded to their MyHealth account. We talked to the nurse you advised who advised to seek Clerk advice. When talking to the Clerk they were very annoyed and agitated about our question. We tried to ask if there was anything to do and they flat out refused to help. We sat down in the waiting area and the same Clerk came out to us in the waiting area and said I've talked to the head nurse and there is nothing we can do about it

I'd just like to thank all the lovely staff on 3 South and put a extra shout out to Carolyn, Sherry and Mia.I was up there, with a friend in palliative care and you ladies were amazing. Mia your care for Marg, the family and my-self was truely beautiful, right to the end. I'm so grateful you were working that day. I thank, from the bottom of my heart.

4 hours with a screaming upset child in the emergency waiting room. we were discharged yesterday after 3 days in the hospital, and told to come back asap if he had issues. After asking triage when we will be seen told we have afew more hours wait. Ended up driving to Geelong.

Thankyou to the amazing staff, you were were quick, efficient and caring.The moment we entered the ER with my young daughter we were taken to triage and waited no more than a 1 min in the waiting room before seeing a Dr.A special shout out to the lovliest nurse Molly. You were so kind and I really appreciated the follow up call a few hours later.

Until you have truly experienced ED as a person in need of care, you will never fully understand the incredible caring and skilled work they do under immense pressure. I have last week and will be eternally grateful to all of them for their devotion to me and the other patients. Please forgive my curtnes and lack of understanding. You make me proud to live in this district. Stay safe.

A family friend who is a cancer patient ( 80years old ) was taken here via ambulance Monday morning after waiting 7 hours for them to arrive, he has currently been here for 2 and a half days and left in emergency unable to move and in excruciating pain. The lack of care here at emergency and empathy is absolutely unacceptable and beyond disgusting.

Out dated facilities, ER wait times are out of control I had a burst appendix and waiting on a plastic chair to be seen for 6 hours! Nurses on wards are amazing and over worked and the ER drs and staff have lost the care in their jobs, they don’t believe you or care about you as a patient! The government needs to help the system!
