The Station Kapunda
Our group of 6 adults from Perth stayed for 3 nights for a business conference in the Barossa. All 6 of us had the most wonderful rooms, with plenty of shared space. Our flights were cancelled and this threw things out a bit but the staff at The Station were incredibly flexible. I highly recommend having their chef come in and prepare you the most wonderful dining experience. It was super cold when we were there but it couldn't have felt more warm. Highly recommend for group visits!

Fabulous stay! The Railway is stunning with such attention to detail but must mention the luxurious most comfiest beds. The Murder Mystery event is a must do!! The whole night from start to finish was an absolute blast, hosted so well with outstanding food and wine to match - I can’t wait to do it again.

Bridget was extremely helpful in organising chefs to come into the station and cook for us. The meals were delicious and it was a lovely setting when we were sitting on the platform enjoying our meals. We enjoyed playing golf, the local wineries, the market and festival. Bridget had thought of everything, I will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at The Station. As a group of 7 adults, there was plenty of space for all of us, and lots of options of places to sit around or spread out. The backyard area is great and has a pool! Not sure if this is advertised but bring your bathers. Lots of breakfast supplies left, great kitchen with everything you’d need to cook for yourselves. Kapunda is quiet, but the accommodation is so beautifully furnished you could easily just hang out there and do little else. It was only 25 minutes to Tanunda. Bring a sleep mask though as upstairs is very bright in the mornings and doesn’t have blinds.

We had a fantastic weekend stay at The Station. Bridget was an awesome host with excellent communication. She made sure we had everything we need during our stay and even accommodated the kids for murder mystery party to get them involved. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend it to family and friends.

Unique, beautifully restored, amazing property for a getaway. Drive in any direction to get to great wineries, or spend time in at a historic station with incredible thought given to all the small details. Backyard is a highlight, and it’s just a rare find made all the more better by Bridget who is a warm and thoughtful host always taking care to curate a 5 star experience.

The Station is a fabulous place to relax and enjoy time with friends and family. Bridget is a wonderful host and the murder mystery experience an absolute hoot! So much fun! Highly recommend this destination at any time of the year- with a great fire pit in winter and lovely pool to cool down in summer.

A stunning location and a stunning host. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate with friends and family than at The Station Kapunda. Bridget, the owner, took care of our every need - enduring that everything ran smoothly without us having to lift a finger. The venue is incredibly stylish and well appointed but also cosy and inviting. 100% would recommend.

One of a kind experience, just a stunning place to stay and elevate your Barossa valley experience. You don’t need to leave the property really, Bridget has thought of everything to make guests feel welcome, at home and entertained. So well kept.Highlight for us was the murder mystery night, what a fun and entertaining night that was. The bearded chef did an epic 3 course meal and Bridget was a fabulous host, decorating the table for us. Truly a phenomenal experience.
