Beautiful wharf, not too crowded. Perfect for seeing the sunrise or a leisurely stroll by the water. Excellent seafood choices close by

What a lovely place to visit. I was surprised that there isn’t more historical information regarding the dock. As you walk around there are several informational posts which explain the original buildings etc. we grabbed some fish and chips and sat and watched the boats and all the people wandering around the city from the markets and dark MOFO festival.

Sunrise at the constitution dock is a must do for any nature lover who wants the perfect sunrise experience! We stayed at battery point so it was a short walk down to the dock and damn was it magical as the first rays of the sun beam over the mountains and across the water onto the Hobart waterfront ❤️

Wasn’t all that much happening in the area. Then again it’s nice it’s not packed with people. Few restaurants to select from or the fresh seafood docked/fixed pontoons. Nice waterfront for a leisurely stroll and take some photos. The seaplane also docks on the harbour if wanting to take a scenic flight. Other activities are available from the harbour.

Nice area with a few seafood restaurants and shops. Fine for an afternoon, but not a lot. Some galleries and a distillery. The surrounding neighborhood is the original and interesting.

Constitution Dock is the harbour-side dock area of Hobart, the capital city of the Australian state of Tasmania, in the Port of Hobart, on the Derwent River. The dock is adjacent to other Hobart landmark areas, Victoria Dock, Salamanca Place and Battery Point, and forms part of the foreshore of Sullivans Cove. The dock consists of a rock-walled marina with an opening for boats. The bridge is normally closed, allowing pedestrian access around the dock. The dock is normally used by motor pleasure boats, yachts, and fishing boats serving the city's fish market and restaurants, several of which are at the northern end of the dock.Constitution Dock is famous for being the rallying point and party venue for the annual Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, held from Boxing Day (the day after Christmas Day) until yachts complete their 630 nautical mile journey from Sydney.
