Diamond Star Seafood and Yum Cha Chinese Restaurant
Score updated from 3 to 4. Went back today for a yum cha fix. Quality and service has improved significantly since the last few times we’ve been there. The quality of the dumplings and the fried eggplant in particular remind me of how it used to be years ago. Pricing is much higher now but I don’t mind it if the quality is there also.

Table service was not very good, felt like the wait staff was ignoring us and had to yell to get their attention.I would NOT recommend the Seafood Supreme - VERY disappointing and didn't feel supreme at all (seemed like it was just heated frozen seafood and vegetables).The women's bathroom was very untidy. Didn't appear to be cleaned regularly. Toilet paper was not on the holders in any of the stalls. And soap was cheap and unpleasant.Dim sims were decent. Mango pudding ($6.30) was worth it and I'd say was the best part of the experience.There is also a surcharge for card payments (2%). Overall, I'd say this restaurant is not suitable for dates or dinners for under 5 people. It's expensive considering the quality of the food.

Went for Yumcha ordered steam dumplings however, they arrived undercooked - frozen in the middle, food came out sporadically, some meals well after the other meals were finished. Been coming here for many years but won’t be coming back, very disappointed.

Had an amazing time there.I go everytime the parents are in town, the food is always delicious and filling. I enjoy the staff and how hard they work to make every visit a delightful time.I always try new things and poke others into going since they have great food and an amazing dining experience. Also, try the prawn paper roll things, pictured with review, they are delicious.Also, the mango pancakes are to die for, go for that as well.

Not the traditional trolleys floating around however it’s made to order and served on the table. Can’t fault the yum cha and it’s super fresh & delicious. Ample parking in the front and the back. They have live seafood as well made to order. Highly recommended and will be back soon.

Food was pretty good and were served in large portions. Food serving time was quick but dim sum dishes could be a tad warmer. Located on the first level with lift access. A breeze finding parking. Would recommend bringing cash.

Foods were average, i did enjoyed the menu i ordered, portions were small for the price. Yum cha menu is higher than it should. Customer service were too busy and would find myself waving too many times and got rejected.Place is not easily accessible, parking can be difficult and there’s not a nearby train station.Couldn’t find myself coming back here, when other restaurants serve more appealing menus and cheaper price.Best to pay by cash when you do come here.

Not the traditional yumcha with aunties pushing the carts around, you order from a menu. Each dish comes out nice and hot. The service today was very slow but it did look like they were short staffed (perhaps it's because of the holidays?). Overall the food is great.

Recommended by sister and was so surprised by the quality of the food. Biggest hargow I have ever had! Love mango pancake the best, very fresh and not too sweet, big portion of course. Came too late so egg tarts all sold out but will def come and try it. Highly recommend!
