Forrester Park
Small park with walking trail. However in summer there are lots of insects.

If you love Kookaburras and Red Bellied Snakes - This is a Forrest you have to come and see! Unlike most Parks, feels more like a reserve. I have lived in the Eastwood area for 5 years and I can guarantee you this Park is natural as they come.

The park it self is quite spacious with lots of possibilities. It’s also a good entry point for Terrys Creek Walk. The little bridge across the creek doesn’t have a tag on Google Maps, it is a hidden gem for those who like to cross the Eastwood Epping border by bike or walk, feel great to have a short rest on the bridge overlooking the stream (flood gate just beside it, pretty spectacular when it rains hard…).

This is our local park. It's nice to pass by on the way to or from school. There's a concrete cricket pitch and a field which my kids enjoy running on. It's a bit sloped, so not great for games which need a flat surface. Nice slide, monkey bars, 2 swings, seesaw, some climbing challenges and rocking horse thingy. Bark chip used on the ground, so not great for kids who can't walk yet unless you're happy with them getting quite dirty. Sadly there are no toilets at this park, but there is a bubbler/water fountain and it's a 5 minute walk (without distractions at an adult pace. Ha!) to nice local cafes for coffee and toilets.

I strolled to Forrester Park when I was waiting for my car to get a rego inspection and stood in the cricket pitch absorbing the warmth and sunlight on a clear winters day. While too small and weirdly shaped to work as a real cricket ground, the open field is a lovely place for many casual sports. The kids play area looks relatively new and the surrounding bush is well kept. The true secret of the park is that it's a gateway to a delightful suburban bush walk which will take you up to Brown's Waterhole and then, possibly, on to the Great North Walk, if you're so inclined. It's like entering Narnia, save it's via a casual little park rather than a wardrobe (and the characters that inhabit the area are decidedly less creepy).

Forrester Park
Fairly bland park. Basic play equipment, a derelict wooden teepee, seats and odd concrete patches. It’s not bad as a stopover to expend the energy of kids. Not really something worth traveling to if you’re not a local.

Forrester Park
Accessible pathway only to playground area on one side, not along whole street front. Lawn poorly maintained with some concrete leftover on the ground (careful with pram). No covered area or BBQ facilities. Playground is OK with some seats available.

Upgraded local bushwalk thanks to Ryde Council. Occasionally the direction signs are unclear though.
