I went in to buy a fishing licence a while back. The guy flat out refused to write me a licence because he thinks they are 'rubbish' and are too susceptible to wear. Why even sell them if that is what he thinks? I said I was willing to take the risk anyway. He still refused. I am just glad I didn't get stuck listening to him whinge about the council for 2 hours like the time/s before. I am sending EVERYBODY I know in to ask for a fishing licence just to annoy him.

Wonderful store. The lady who served me (twice) was very friendly and helpful. I was stuck for somewhere to stay overnight on my way home to Newcastle, and she helped me find a place. Gave me some good advice on bait etc. and even threw in a free magazine. Thank you for your kindness.

A great little shop I like to drop into, plenty of gear, and can get you out of trouble if something is lost or forgotten, It's a shame there aren't more shops like this anymore
