Great service, friendly staff. Convenient place for getting car rental.

Very polite and informative. We were given a Lovely clean car that provided us with lots of touring adventures for twelve days. I’ve not hired a car since 2019 due to lockdown and this has restored my faith in the system. I cannot praise Europcar enough. No fuss, honest, good price too!

Terrible experience. Some minor damage sustained to alloy of the vehicle’s wheel, which was my fault, however I was charged close to $500 for the repair. When I asked for a breakdown of the costs to see why it cost as much as it did, I was told “that’s just how much it costs.”

DO NOT USE!!We hired a moving truck on 6th May and returned with no damage within 24 hours. Firstly the staff were incredibly rude and did not even tell us the van was diesel or how to use the lift mechanism. Short staffed and terrible manners. Secondly, they did not return our $500 deposit within 10 business days. Thirdly, we were charged for 2 days hire and through many calls and emails back and forth were made out to be liars and asked to provide proof that we returned the vehicle on time. I told them to check the store CCTV as that’s all the proof they need. Long story short it’s now 15th June, and we still have no refund for the extra day charge. Stay well away from this company and specifically the st kilda branch.

Julie was an absolute delight to deal with! Such a nice friendly person after dealing with insurance for weeks it was refreshing.

They allow after hours drop off and charge you for another day without mentioning it upfront. And as other reviews suggest, they never answer the phone! I never received an email confirmation for my booking but luckily I took the screenshot of it. Opted for road side assistance but had no idea how to reach them when in need as they don't answer the phone!

Vehicle KMs were understated on the contract. I took a photo and sent it in via the customer service portal as the desk were busy with a queue. Was told that it was passed on to the correct branch and that it would be reflected in my invoice. Once my invoice came in some days after returning the vehicle, it did not reflect the error and I was overcharged as such. Made a complaint to Customer service and they declined to reimburse and said the terms and conditions were in the contract. I do not recommend Europcar.

Car rental is tricky in Melbourne - the service was great but demand high so pre book. Prices are high. Uber is better.

Had the best experience this morning with Europe car st.kilda .They guy at the desk ,paraey vyas , was so lovely , fast and professional .He gave me the best costumer service there is - thank you for that . Def will do my future bookings with europcar.

Was forced to use this place for an insurance claim and it has been by far the worst experience with a car rental company in my life. They actually stole over $3600 from my card without any authorisation and then after I complained did not even bother to follow up and contact me. Luckily I saw the charges and was onto it but I have still not received my money or an apology or any proof that the money will be returned. I am absolutely horrified at the behaviour of this company and will never deal with them again. And if you’re thinking of renting a car from them, and giving them your card details, don’t! They take thousands of dollars of your money without asking and by reading other reviews (after the fact) this is not an isolated incident.
