Overgrown for what could be a nice picnic area. Lazy Shire Maintenance crews and local Councillors for not ensuring this park asset to Ballan is not looked after, mowed and cut back. Bush fire risk...

Ballan Mineral Spring
Nice beautiful place. Beautiful sun set over the reservoir. BBQ available. Enough parking space. People do fishing here. ~10 picnic chairs, 4BBQ burners. Nice walk around the reservoir. Beautiful forest (like red pines?) in the edge.

Ballan Mineral Spring
Spring water was exactly what your would expect from a natural mineral spring. A local was filling up a large container when we popped by. It looks like there were upgrade works on this area but now it's not getting maintenance which is a shame. Currently pretty overgrown.

This place looks strange to me. Water around this area was very dirty and sigh said “ no guaranty of safely of mineral water” that makes me feel worry to drink.Taste no very drinkable. But that’s the natural mineral water taste like anyway .

Ballan Mineral Spring
Loved the mineral water, but the place looked neglected. It looked like it was once a nice place to have a picnic as thete were some tables there, but the grass was overgrown and it was hard to walk along the path because of this. The council needs to take better care of this place.

Ballan Mineral Spring
What a wonderful place for snakes in the warmer months, lots of long grass. There are a few picnic areas for use.The surrounding water for the spring pump is a bit boggy, but the place is very quiet and serene. Watch your step if its wet, it can be quite slippery. There are two carparks available, the one closest to the spring is more suited to 4WD's and can be a bit awkward. Drop in to see it on the way back from the reservoir.

Ballan Mineral Spring
Mineral springs water is not for every one. The access to this one on my latest visit was not serviced for quite some time. Long grass and scrub make it feel like the perfect Snake habitat. Also access to the upper car park with standard type vehicles may be tricky.This takes away for some but adds for others, giving it a more natural rustic feel.Would be great some minor works were done to fix the access path. Also note Slippery when wet.

Very quiet location, mineral water is great,nice and cold. Parking is limited and gravel,area is overgrown but this adds to the attraction. Not easily found as turnoff does not mention this place. Shaws Rd is sealed for around halfway. Road is a bit rough but ok for normal cars.

It is a lovely tranquil place to visit, it's not signposted and some maintenance needs to be done, but still a lovely little hidden gem. The mineral water isn't the worst I've had either.
