Beautiful camp ground next to the dam. Quite busy with a lot of campers in the area but more than enough space for everyone. A lot of boats and jet skis so don't expect to have a lot of peace and quite.No running water or showers, toilets are drop toilets so would recommend bringing extra water and toilet paper.A lot of native wildlife around the area and saw some emus around the site.Talbingo is the closed town but is full of racists and rednecks I would avoid if you aren't Australia looking" get all your supplies in Tumut unless you want to be physically assutled!"

Popped in today to scope the campground for a future overnight stay and to enjoy some water sports. We were really impressed.There is easy access to the water and the ability to park up nice and close to the waterfront. There were a large number of larger caravans parked close to the waterline.There is also undercover areas suitable for tents or those seeking shade.Big drawcard is water access but. There was a large number of ski boats launching from this sport and it certainly seemed to be perfect for that.A recommend from me!

Had another camp area booked but stumbled upon this one in passing and ended up staying here 3 nights instead. Located at the edge of Blowering Dam, such a beautiful and peaceful location surrounded by kangaroos of an evening. Beautiful Tumut town only 15mins away by car where you can grab supplies etc if needed or if you fancy a pub dinner. People were swimming, canoeing and water skiing in the dam. There are no public showers, only a couple of long drop loos.Great location, Will definitely be back.

Great spot to enjoy a nice day surrounded by nature. Great boating out on blowering dam if that is your way to enjoy a day. Space to camp is generally plentiful however as the dam is currently at capacity there is a lot less room.Travellers be warned the shore of blowering dam is very deceptive, don't drive of the beaten track as if you break through the crust your vehicle will likely sink to its belly. Often the only way out then is a recovery.

Lovely free camp (apart from nominal booking fee) in a national park but so disappointed by the number of people who think “no dogs” in a national park doesn’t apply to them. There were big dogs, small dogs, some on leashes most were not. There was seemingly no intervention by NSW parks and wildlife who visited daily.
