Australia Hotel

Hotel and pub in the area of Freemantle near the docks. A bit empty round there but just 20min walk to the main area of Freemantle. Pub is more traditional and way too bright to feel comfortable but decent enough.

The stay in the hotel stay was somewhat comfortable where the amenities were clean and there was a cozy place to watch TV and have coffee. The bar was quite lively during the weekends but it gets quiet when it closes. On weekdays, it gets quiet by 9 pm. I tried the fish and chips and the Swan Beer and the food were quite good. The people managing the bar also manage the reception and they were quite friendly.

Went in on a Saturday evening. Asked if there was any specials going on for beers. No specials that's OK. So I then ask what was there cheapest beer and was told $11.50 so I ordered one of those. My mate arrived about 10mins after and ordered a beer and was charged $9.50.

Beautiful old style Freo pub. Great range of beers. Food is typical pub grub, but prices are excellent as is the quantity and quality. Well worth a visit

I have officially given up on trying to eat here. Every time we go in they have closed the kitchen for some reason or another. Tonight was at 6:45pm purely because they ran out of the kitchen special and figured people wouldn’t want to eat anything else. Don’t complain when this place goes under for lack of support if you aren’t even going to bother keeping your kitchen open until 7pm! What used to be a great bar is now just a dive. Real estate development waiting to happen. Don’t waste your time.

Friendliest lady serving us while we celebrated our youngest daughter and her husband sneaky chapel wedding. Great little pub lovely food and suoer friendly lady serving us. We'll be back for sure

Beautiful pub in a great location.Service only marked at three as unfortunately they were understaffed.No idea what the rooms are like.

I have been to the Australia hotel pub numerous times and thought it was a great pub, however on this one occasion I attended for the $15 burger and pint deal, of which I have been to probably 3 times before this. I am vegetarian and they have willingly swapped the burger to the veggie burger each time for me within the deal, however the last time I attended for this same deal, I was told that they would not swap it for me. I explained every time I've come before they have done so, but was met with more refusal. I asked to speak with the manager and he rudely told me he is the manager and he's never done it before" of which I proceeded to explain I've had it swapped for me numerous times and didn't see the problem. He continued to refuse to do so

The staff are all amazing,fish & chips were the very best I have EVER had. I did say it was $15 but that was a mistake it was $20 for 2 pieces fish & a pintbof beer. YUM!!!!! WE WILL STAY AGAIN.
