No help at all when I made a complaint about my child's school. Poor investigating the situation and then brushed off. I think there needs to be a separate section of the department who deal with special school complaints, have people who actually know about special schools.

When the system can turn a bright student into one who no longer cares. Something has to change. Teachers are meant to be leaders and encourage students to become the best and not destroy their dreams and aspirations. Shame quality teachers I think not. It's a shame a small group of cowboy teachers ruin the system.

Unfortunately secs education has been taken out of the parental child context of the family and handed to government with regard to religious, cultural and moral standpoints. With days such as wear it purple and rainbow flag ceremonies seemingly official policy of the education department there is now no opt out for conservative parents. In the name of promoting inclusion this is instead creating division. It's time to remove my children from the government school system.

Did not handle the Covid-19 at all. Completely absent. Teachers and schools have been left dealing with everything. We have 4 children in 4 different schools. They have all handle the crisis differently. That did not help us, parents. This has been a very challenging time for everyone and the department of education buried its head in the sand. It's really to wonder where taxpayers money goes. Not where it should be.Lack of consistency, lack of direction, lack of leadership.....do we really need that many staff in that ... ivory tower? Happy to be in charge to actually bring some change to support schools, teachers and families. This crisis did demonstrate the department's limitations. It has many indeed. We just don't need this department and the money spent to keep them in a job.Just too busy playing political games.

Blair Boyer cares more about banning phones and protecting his party's image than dealing with the actual problem. This department is a clawless old tiger that needs to be fixed.

How can it take up to six weeks to receive your ERT? Schools are crying out for relief teachers and a bunch of us are still waiting for our ERTs. For god sakes start printing."

I am very grateful to the department of International Education Services. My son and I have taken part in a number of activities that the department has arranged for international students and parents who are not able to go back their country during the school holiday due to covid-19. All of the events were very well-organised, and I felt very well cared for. Needless to say, we had wonderful time having so much fun with great people. Thank you so much for all the hard work you have put in.
