Where to begin! Josh and all the trainers at Mitise are all very welcoming to all who come through the doors. I have known and trained with Josh and Mitise on and off since 2009 but I keep coming back!!! When training with Josh it is not just about getting as sweaty as possible! It is about the goals you are wanting to achieve in a wholistic manor! Taking into account not just the body but the mind and knowing that there are factors outside the gym that affect people's performance in the gym and taking those into account...so if you need a more gentle approach that day! That's what you will get! All while on track to attain your goal! Always!I could go on about how welcoming and inclusive Mitise is all day! And about how adaptive Josh is to your training needs on any given day! But you should get in touch and find that out for yourself!I could not recommend Josh and Mitise highly enough.Thanks Josh for always being there when I keep coming back!!Not going any where this time!

Josh is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable trainers I have ever met. I took part in a 6 week female development program and learnt so much in such little time. You feel so welcome and valued in the space created at Mitise. It is definitely one of the best experiences I have had at a gym learning so much and just enjoying working out. Not only do they tell you what the exercise is working they talk you through how to do it. The supportive and encouraging environment makes this gym so good. The knowledge Bryn and Josh have to run this female program and target the specific exercises to help with sport development and physical competencies is exceptional and your whole perspective of working out will change. You will do specific components such as agility, acceleration, strength etc that you can then work on to improve your own game. You will also do exercises to prevent injuries that are common and many strengthening exercises which will be extremely beneficial in your game. I could not recommend this gym enough.

I’ve been training at Mitise with Josh for a few months now as a part of a Samba Strength training program and I can without a doubt say that it is a welcoming, positive and enjoyable session every time. From the moment you enter the gym you are greeted with a friendly hello. Throughout each session Josh is always close by making sure you are executing all exercises correctly to prevent injury and make sure that if you have any questions, they are always answered. I would definitely recommend this gym and Josh as a trainer for anyone who is looking to build strength and stamina for sport/dance as I have seen a significant improvement in myself since I started training at Mitise.

Mitise Fitness is a special place. A gym as much about connecting community and valuing the people who come through its doors, as it is about developing strength and wellbeing. Thank you Escola de Samba and Josh and the Mitise team for collaborating to create the Samba Strength program! Being involved in this program has built my personal and physical strength. When I started out I wasn't in a great headspace - I felt shy and unsure - but knew I would benefit from a fitness program. The friendly staff at Mitise and their considered, respectful approach to meeting me where I was at ushered me into a place of being stronger and feeling more self-assured. I am inspired to be in a space where people can be themselves and work towards their personal goals alongside one another. I look forward to continuing the journey of finding greater strength - physical, personal and community - with Mitise Fitness!

Around 5 months after having my ACL reconstruction my physio recommended I start training with Josh to complete my rehab and prepare myself to return to playing soccer. Josh was super helpful in identifying where I was at with my rehab and able to provide sport specific programs to guide me through my recovery. His style of coaching worked very well with my schedule as he provided me with well structured programs for me to complete on my own and was always available whenever I had any questions.Josh is a super supportive coach and was really effective in pushing me out of my comfort zone throughout my rehab, which was so important in preparing me both mentally and physically to return to sport. I would recommend Josh to anyone returning to sport from an injury as well as those who are just looking to push themselves physically to the next level.

A great place for a holistic approach to body strength and resilience. The staff are dedicated to providing the best care to your body to produce the outcomes you desire. The owner Josh is particularly invested in your body well being and enjoys assisting with any issues that arise. The business as a whole (members included) are very friendly and welcoming, creating a nice positive community vibe. There are a range of options that Mitise Health and Fitness can provide allowing your program to evolve as your needs change. Personally I have been through all the options (such as classes, generic strength programs that are updated weekly, and one-on-one personal training) and each has been of high quality and useful in achieving my desired outcomes. I genuinely recommend Mitise Health and Fitness if you're looking to improve and maintain your body!

I have been training with Mitise / Josh since 2015. Over these 7 years, Mitise has grown with me in my fitness journey. I have done everything with Mitise, from boot camp, 6 week challenges for toning / weight loss, general classes, Women’s strength training, strength training to support trail running and strength training during pregnancy and postpartum.While I was an avid trail runner, Mitise supported me with related strength work, helping me to build stability in my ankles and strength in my glutes. With Mitise, I was able to train and complete a 56km ultra trail run in 2021 without injury.I’ve also done multiple blocks of women’s strength training. These programs were a fantastic introduction to gym equipment. Not only did I gain strength, but I gained confidence to walk into any gym and use the equipment without feeling intimidated or foolish. The support of the women in these programs was icing on top of the cake and made for an amazing experience.These strength classes were the foundation of my pregnancy training in 2022. I was able to continue training throughout my whole pregnancy, (including the day before giving birth), as Mitise adapted my program to accomodate my limitations and to grow with me. I maintained my strength, supported my pregnancy with a strong body and used my training to prepare both mentally and physically for the big day. I was supported by Mitise the entire time and enjoyed seeing other pregnant women in the gym during this time.I am now in the postpartum phase and Mitise continues to adapt and support me as I reconnect with my core and begin a new journey.I highly recommend Mitise for any stage of your fitness journey.

As someone who feels very anxiousgoing to the gym (especially a new one) Ididn't expect to feel so welcomedwalking into Mitise. Josh was superwelcoming and friendly. He showed mearound and even made sure to includemusic in the gym that I like (the littlethings matter). I felt like I didn't have tobe nervous asking for any help. The members were also really friendly and I felt like I was in a very judge-free zone. I highly recommend joining Mitise to be a part of a supportive and knowledgeablecommunity, no matter what your goal is.
