Greencross Vets Morayfield

I normally go to a different vet but they were closed over Christmas. And I'm so glad Greencross was open because I will be coming back here from now on!! First of all the reception staff are incredibly kind and caring. What a great first impression for the business. Then when we arrived the set up inside is fantastic. So open with lots of safe seating options including a dedicated cat waiting area and a solid partition separating the dog waiting area to provide options. Then we saw Dr Julie and she was absolutely fantastic. Diagnosed the problem very quickly, gave us lots of treatment options, came and assisted me in picking out some food afterwards and was friendly and compassionate the whole time. I also got a text message the next day checking in on my dog and making sure he was feeling better. Amazing service and I would highly recommend!! Also looking forward to bringing my dog in for some grooming - the facility looked great.

The vet I saw had poor education and knowledge on mast cell tumors and tried to push a $2000 surgery claiming it was the only thing they could do. When I said I can't pay for another $2000 surgery and asked for alternative options and brought up antihistamines and prednisone it was like she had never heard of them before and shook her head and said no. Vet needs to update her knowledge from what she learnt in her textbook at university and read the new evidence, data and protocols for this condition, I walked away with no trust in this vet and am going elsewhere to an experienced knowledgeable vet.
