Secure Parking - Village Cinema Car Park
My car was damaged whilst parked here and after emailing was told security camera footage would not be reviewed or released . Park at own risk , no help from owners/operators . Also some of the parking spaces make it difficult to see other traffic at junctions . Edited : Your response below shows you have no intention of actioning this as I provided all the details beforehand and you refused to take action , nothing but a copy and paste response .

Park at Centrepoint, save your money and the hassle. I visited the cinemas and intencity, and was there for 3 hours. I had already accepted paying the rediculous price of $14. However found out the next day I was charge $21.52, they told me it's because they calculate the time you leave, not the time you pay at the machine. So essentially because I had to walk up 5 levels and leave which took 4 more minutes, they charged me for 4 hours. Will never park here again or with secure parking. There are far better options with wider ramps and elevators. They say they are competitively priced, should have gone to Centrepoint and would have paid a third of this price. Will walk the 5 mins next time.

This parking station is an absolute nightmare designed by someone with zero spacial awareness and only a vague idea of how cars might be driven. At one point you find yourself with the choice of either leaving the car park completely, or driving down a row between cars with multimeters to spare between your medium sized car and theirs at best. The stress is not worth it

THEY STOLE MY MONEY. I bought a flexi pass pack of ten and authorised $160; they charged my $216. I rang immediately and I was told without question I would be refunded. They have promised me in writing a refund and have simply stopped communicating and haven't given me back my money. I haven't used the flexi passes. This was a MONTH ago and I'm about to enter a legal battle over it.

$6 PER HOUR!? It's literally cheaper to park on the street parking meter! This carpark is terrible, most cars can't get around it and constantly have to pull 3 point turns. Awful customer service, machines always not working and holding people up! Terrible, awful carpark. 0/100 points.

The worst designed car park I’ve ever been in. So expensive. Next time I’ll be parking in centrepoint car park. Never again

Could someone please advise how you can justify increasing your early bird parking rate at the Village Cinemas Car Park in Hobart to $18.00 a day? It was previously $15.00 a day for early bird and has recently been increased with little to no notice to the people who park there. The car park has NOT been upgraded, you do not provide adequate security, your boom gates have multiple issues on a weekly basis, your payment machines have multiple issues per week, your customer support service is poor, the car park itself is incredibly hazardous, and frankly, the only reason anyone parks there is due to it being the only car park around that area. I feel as though you are ‘cashing in’ on the fact people have little to no choice on where to park if they want to be close to their workplace.I feel the increase in charges is also in incredibly bad taste, due to the fact that EVERYONE is trying to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, and people are risking themselves on a daily basis to return to work to service the public, and you as a carpark are now charging them extra. Instead of supporting the workers who are actively trying to help the community, you are punishing them.I also find it interesting that places such as the Market Place Carpark (owned by Sultan Parking) is only charging $14 a day for early bird, and they have recently upgraded their car park, added more spaces, have adequate security and generally are just a better car park all round. With that in mind, could you please provide an explanation as to why you are charging $18 for early bird parking, and how you concluded that you could increase your pricing without making any changes to your carpark? Also, it has been bought to my attention that you now will only accept card payment on your machines, but you are charging a fee to use card? That is unethical. The RBA states that as a business, you are allowed to charge a surcharge on card payments, but ONLY at a cost-base to your business. I find it hard to believe that you (as a business) are charged 45 cents per card payment, when on average, a debit transaction on a Visa/Mastercard generally charges a business between 0.5-1 cent (per transaction). Can you please advise where you are getting the amount of 45 cents?Other businesses in Hobart seem to understand the severity of the pandemic, and how as a state/country, we need to be supporting each other through this. It seems Secure Parking have missed that message, and instead want to try and send people broke to inflate their own profits. It is incredibly disappointing to see.

People hardly park correctly due to confusing parking spaces. Majority of the car park is reserved parking. If you park up higher there are no elevators and you just have to walk down through the carpark. There is direct access to the village cinemas building through a door. It is supposed to be wheelchair accessible but the ramp to leave the carpark is long and too high. It's a pay before you leave carpark and you do this through the machines at the front. Often one of the machines are broken. The crossing lines and walking through the car park isn't very safe.

Update: Completely full but no signs, more often than not now, total waste of time, will be parking elsewhere from now on.Original review: Tiny parks, no lift, filthy stairs, lights broken, not much room to turn around corners to go up/down (often get stuck behind someone who has to reverse and inch around!). Machines don't take cash, only card, but there's a surcharge for all cards. Not staffed all day so when it's full there's no sign, you just waste time before having to leave, if there are any issues (like when a car parks in the access ramp instead of a space..yes, really!) you have to call the national call centre who will 'create a ticket'. Only worth it if you get there early for all day parking (don't bother after 9:30) as the fees for just a couple of hours are ridiculous.
