Best thai food I have had for a while, good size servings, took leftovers home. So many restaurants are now serving entree sized mains, not the case here. Service also good.

I've been here twice and both times the food has been amazing. The portions are perfect, the veggies are fresh, the chicken is cooked perfectly and the sauces are tasty. Every other Thai restaurant I've been to, the food is either full of sugar, the veggies taste old or the chicken is dry from being overcooked. This place is the complete opposite and is my go-to Thai restaurant now.

Been coming to montein Thai for over a decade, always great food at affordable price , but new place and itall changed.The food is still nice but you get less and pay more. I understand everything in the last year has gone up , but seriously fried rice $19 no chicken just vegetables, it's just steamed rice with a bit flavour and vegetables. All meal were small with lots of vegetables. Will not return can't afford $100 takeaway meal for 2 adult and a toddler.

The moment we sat down, the lady that greeted us was not happy. I ordered stir fry crispy pork / PAD PRIK KING CRISPY PORK. The vegetables and rice were good but the pork had an off after taste that was very porky and unfresh. I tried to ignore it until my third bite but i couldn't take to continue eating. I informed the lady that the pork had a strange taste and maybe it wasn't cleaned well. She gave me a lecture that their pork is always clean and pork in Australia is different from other local countries specifically Asia and suggested with a mix of sarcasm that i should not order pork. I was surprised on how angry and rude she was. I apologized about assuming the pork was not clean but i said that i don't know why but there was a strange after taste and that is how i felt. I took it as miscommunication but was still in shock that i nicely told her my problem and she was very angry and unapologetic. She did not charged me with my order because i demanded a refund and although she did it, she was sort of throwing tantrums while doing what is expected of her. i'm never going back to this restaurant. I have been to a lot of thai restaurants across Sydney but this one i am definitely not going to even attempt to give it a second try. In conclusion all the negative reviews prolly are all true.

Delicious fresh Thai in a fun, modern new restaurant very close to the beach. Relaxed atmosphere, incredible food, excellent menu with lots of delicious choices - it was hard to choose! We will be back! The duck curry and chicken laksa were mouth watering and we demolished it all! Thanks for a fantastic lunch! Will recommend to all of our friends.

Not the best Thai me and my parents ate, we ordered Chicken Cashew - Nut, Chilli - Basil With Beef, Spring - Regards, & Ginger & Shallot With Beef. My Mother's was too salty. My Father's was a bit too less salty. And mine was perfect! But even with all the ups and downs I found the interior design was quite nice. And the toilet was clean. I and my family give it a (3/5) cause not the best food you can find but ok.
