Woolworths Melbourne Square (Southbank)

Chicken Tenders have increased from $3 to $3.85 and Chicken Wings from $7 to $8.80 - this is despicable price gouging!!How can Woolworts explain price increases of 25%-30% on everydays staples other than exploiting their duopoly to further increases to already exorbitant profits?Greedy big corporations like Woolworth are the cause and beneficiary of the cost-of-living crisis with their shameless price gouging!Where is your social responsibility to keep food affordable? How can you sleep, knowing that you leave others hungry? How can you be proud of your highly profitable business that causes poverty at a large scale?

Absolutely disgusting!!!! Rang to have something out aside I drove all the way from Epping, arrived and sure enough the manager Finn had no clue that I called, the staff member I spoke to was a new guy had no clue I wasted my time and petrol coming here & didn’t even get compensated… never again will I come here

Edit: Jan 2023- FREE 90 min parking with min $15 spend still exist, they've now worked out how to get it to you digitally as well automatically, instantly after your shop.-Their scan & go still generally works well. Currently still doesn't accept gift cards.-Their fast food section is worth a visit - I always get sushi, takoyaki and spring rolls whenever I visit. Sometimes they don't have it already boxed up, but they're more than happy to make it fresh for you if the equipment is still on, so you can make a request, do your shopping, then go pick it up before heading out!________________________________Dec 2020Good range of products, a lot more variety than South Melbourne store. Top floor has your dry goods and fridge/frozen food, perishables downstairs. Wheelchair accessible. Friendly staff. Free 90 min parking (one entrance via Hoff Bvd off Kavanagh st) with min $15 spend - scan the barcode on your receipt at car park. Entry/exit points with checkouts on both floors. The store also has the Scan & Go app capability which is great for keeping track of your costs as you shop, can only checkout downstairs though. The way this gets checked is : after a number of transactions (I think random) on your next check out, the system will ask for a staff to scan 5 items in your cart to make sure there are no un-scanned items, there's only one scan & go check-out though which isn't manned, so either you or someone in front of you may hold up the line, so may be worth checking if there's a line before pre-paying on the app.

B Grade woolworths store.Nice eye candy location, largest range of products near Melbourne CBD.However, it can be hard to navigate around the strange 2 floor layout, limited quantity stock is frustrating and it's quite sad to see no other tenants opened in this building even after almost 2 years.

Great store close to CBD. I enjoyed shopping here. The staff is super nice. Will visit here again sometime soon.

What a nice Woolies! Almost remind me of Japan style grocery shops. Love the open space on the ground floor. It's a bit unusual in Melbourne for the double floors supermarkets.

This is my local Woolworths. It always seems to be fully stocked and clean. The Asian food selection is large which is great. I always use Scan & Go here it’s quick and easy. Only down side is the aisles are a little narrow but most people are not using trolleys.

The best Woolwalls I've ever been to!

Great place to go for grocery shopping. Easy access to the store with lots of items to choose from. However I feel frozen food were not as wildly as Woolworths at QV. Hopefully to see more frozen foods.
