Bupa Aged Care Caulfield

The care manager treats the staff very poorly and no support provided whatsoever.

Two male CCC still very arrogant and ignore agency stuffs.

Very caring staff and good food. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Unfortunately Bupa Caulfield South is nothing like it is advertised. Not enough staff which reflects in the basic care needs of high care residents, let alone making time for wheelchair bound residents to be escorted down to activities, which I did not see many residents attending. Food is very ordinary. Floors of room are not kept clean, tables not wiped down after collecting food, far from lively environment, the design of the facility is more like a dated motel style with only a communal area being a dining room on the different levels and all activities being on the ground floor communal area which never seemed to have many residents rushing to, and I was there quite often, there is very little encouragement or assistance for higher care residents to participate in anything, maybe due to lack of staff who most times were stressed and it reflected in their interactions with residents.It is a very sad environment. This place really needs an overhaul ….I could go on and on about the deficiencies in this care home. I was quite shocked at the lack of training and at times insensitive care.

My mother moved to the BUPA Caulfield memory support unit (MSU) a few months ago. Although the place is in need of an update I have found the MSU staff to be caring, supportive and professional. My mother is settled and happy and well looked after. I am very grateful for the care and support she is receiving from the MSU team.
