Disappointed. Did not meet expectations. 2 adults, one gluten free. and 1 child. The adults serving included a glass of bubbly. My husband prefers wine and was charged extra!The freshest food served was the ribbon sandwiches. I would not rate the rest at all. A small quiche, only one scone each with tiny servings of jam and cream.Too much focus on the mini cakes (which were lacklustre) and not nearly enough savoury foods.The GF serving had 2 small falafel balls and an arrancini ball. Both overfried. One of the mini GF cakes was a small chocolate square which was stale, and that really annoyed me, after one bite i put it down. My husband said I shouldve complained but with the young service staff, I didn't bother.It was easy to determine what was made inhouse and what was outsourced and stale.And we paid $270 for that and left to go and eat elsewhere.Having had high tea at another establishment nearby establishment just two weeks ago, that was 5 star, the Langham is was just terrible. No atmosphere, no views, nothing to look at.

Mmm..for the price, I thought the food and service was underwhelming. The tuna and the arrancini ball was good for the savoury but the meat pie was dry, the lobster tart was too fishy and the pastry was blonde and the chicken sandwich was also dry and under seasoned. The desserts were okay, the panna cotta was the best one for me, the chocolate square was quite nice and the scones were decent. The service was good. At a classy venue, I would have expected for the plates that were used to eat savoury dishes to be swapped over with clean ones once we started eating desserts. We also weren't offered tea or coffee. They were very polite though and filled up our champagne glasses as much possible (we had bottomless champagne). The atmosphere was quite nice though. The place screams old money and nostalgia, which I personally liked. I probably won't be coming back here for high tea though, perhaps just a normal coffee with a friend and scones to share.

We always enjoy coming here whenever we're in Melbourne. This time around we had the Langham Afternoon Tea and my daughter had the Little Princess High Tea. The food was great, and the service was good, however the chairs were slightly dirty and the carpet had that sticky feeling on them. Overall, we enjoyed our high tea experience this time around, but there could be room to grow in the future for a much better experience. On our last night in Melbourne, we came here for some night time snacks which were delectable. I can't fault the food here (note this visit was about 6 months ago).

Have had a lovely Afternoon Tea with my Mum at Aria bar and Lounge at the Langham Hotel. Thanks to Tara and team for the wonderful service, food was amazing and a very memorable experience. Will certainly be back.

High tea here was OK but not that special. The food looks good but doesn't taste as amazing as it looks. I was quite surprised how dirty the carpet was and hoped that my girlfriend wouldn't notice. The sofa I sat on also had multiple stains and looked very dated. Service was rather indifferent and I had a waitress lean across my lap from my left to pour tea. I was amazed she didn't spill it in my lap. Whoever trained the staff here did a very bad job. The decor is nice but I won't be back. This is not good value for money since the lousy staff demean the experience of eating here.

Overpriced. Lacking flavour and substance. Below average service, for eg, twice they attempted to take away the platter while we hadn't finished our hig tea and they had a cheek to charge surcharges!

We enjoyed an afternoon tea, the food was lovely, although the bread on some sandwiches was slightly stale. We thoroughly enjoyed the Bain de Roses tea and the Pai My Tan tea. The service staff were lovely, initially the service was a bit slow but it picked up once everyone was seated.Overall a lovely experience and we left absolutely stuffed.

The most beautiful afternoon tea experience at a stunning venue! From the moment we walked in , Tara & the team's attentive service made us feel we are at the right place to celebrate my friends birthday. Exceptional service ..thank you! I am a vegetarian and the chefs were able to create the most magnificent and delicious menu to cater to my dietary requirements. Loved our experience and we will be back soon!
