Mango Lagoon Resort & Wellness Spa

Stayed at the resort over the Easter long weekend with our 2 little girls and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Amazing facilities, the pools are a must when with little ones, staff are super friendly and welcoming. Located an easy walk ( kid friendly distance) from Palm Cove main St. Will definitely be back.

Had a 4 night stay at Mango Lagoon in a 1bedroom apartment on the lap pool. Lovely and clean. The resort gardens are lush and tropical and property is taken care of. Staff are very pleasant. Stayed in Unit 25 that had a bad google review but it was fine. No noise complaints what so ever. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of other resorts but is positioned well and the pools are amazing. Only thing would be to have better crockery and glassware in apartments as they are mismatched.

I could not fault our stay and believe me I tried. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful , we were given great in-depth information when we asked for it.Our room was clean and comfortable. The stay itself was quiet and relaxing and we mostly lay around the pool ( our intention ) the 4 pools were all amazingIt’s a short walk to the beach, 5 minutes max. The rear gate is a great advantage.We intend to book here again in a few months. I am incredibly fussy about where I stay. This property had everything!Perfect stay

Loved our 2 bed apartment, the resort is great and looks just like the photos! Enjoyed swimming in a choice of pools and having a relaxing massage. Back gate leads to a shortcut to 10min walk down to main Esplanade with shops and cafes. Would we return one day? Yes!

This the second time we've stayed at Mango & again it was perfect.We had a one bedroom pool side apartment so it was easy to take a quick dip once it got too hot.It's literally only a 5 minute walk to the Esplanade & the walk back to the resort is amazing with the mountains in the background.The view of the mountains from the pools are spectacular, very underrated resort.We will be back.

The actual apartment and grounds were excellent but the management of the booking by booking.com and basic communication was completely lacking.Here is what happened. My sister booked the apartment through booking.com. It was for 3 of us and she received an email that she booked for 2 and this could be changed and that she would be contacted and 50% of the payment would be taken out of her account. I contacted the phone number provided by booking.com and said there would be 3 people and that I wanted them to email me so that the payment would be taken out of my account. The person I spoke to was Tom and he said the price would rise because of the extra cleaningAbout a week prior to our arrival 50% was taken out of my sister’s account without actually contacting her.When we arrived at Mango Lagoon on Sunday about 3pm there was no one at reception and they couldn’t be contacted. We had to try to find a phone number to contact and after some time contacted someone who gave us details on how to get a key.They had tried to take the rest of the money out of my sister’s account but there wasn’t enough in it to cover it. I had asked them to contact me and I would pay it but they hadn’t done that. They used private phone numbers to contact us which we didn’t answer. I had real difficulty getting a contact number to pay the remainder.The apartment had no general information provided in any form in the apartment. We were never told that the reception would have nothing to do with us. There appeared to be some private rental agreement for the apartment. We were situated at the back of the apartments where there was a locked gate that was the closest exit to the beach. We went through a long some what comical procedure to get a key for it. The key was supposed to have been left out for us instead it was in another locked cabinet that we didn’t have the key for.We only found out when we got there that there was no one we would ever see that had anything to do with the apartment we had booked. It was a very well fitted out apartment with washing machine etc but we had 1 towel each for our 10 day stay.We didn’t mind that the apartment wasn’t cleaned but felt that extra towels should have been provided and it should have been made clear that as some private agreement we would be shunned by the Mango Lagoon Reception when they were open.

Really nice stay, great 1 bedroom apartments at Palm Cove.Check in was great, staff were really helpful showing us a map of the resort, all the pools and the back gate which is a short cut to the beach, shops and restaurants.Really nice touch by the Team at Mango Lagoon Resort on our room, we arrived late afternoon after spending most of the day traveling to Cairns. When we arrived to our room the air con was on, a few lights and it really felt like coming back home… was such a nice touch to turn up to the room like that, felt really nice.The 1 bedroom apartment was really clean and had everything you’d need for a longer stay. Washing machine, dryer, cloths drying racks, kitchen had everything we needed for our stay we only ate breakfast in the apartment but you could easily cook breakfast, lunch and dinner in the apartment if needed as they had everything for that. Apartment was really big too, really comfy and a great view up to the mountains.5-10 minute walk to restaurants, bars and the tavern, plenty of choices down on the main strip… just remember to book 1 day in advance.All in all we had a really nice stay at Mango Lagoon Resort! Thank you!

Overall we had a lovely time swimming in the pool but lots of issues with apartment itself. Details below….Positives:- Staff were friendly- Pools were clean, warm and quiet- Resort centrally locatedNegatives:- Expensive at $350 per night for one bedroom apartment- King bed was two singles pushed together with no mattress topper so it felt like we were in separate beds- Sheets were so harshly starched I kept waking up with the noise of rolling over and how scratchy they were. Ended up buying sheets to use just so we could sleep.- There is a hole in the wall from the bedroom to the shower and toilet, so you can hear your partner going to the loo.- Louvered screens to the outside… so you had to open them to get any light but no windows/glass or fly screen so you may as well be sitting outside with the mosquitoes, noise and heat.- Air conditioning units set to 24 degrees and remotes kept by management so you cannot change them unless you contact them.- Louver doors from the bedroom to the rest of apartment, so nowhere quiet for a baby to sleep- no designated parks so can’t always park in the venue- 3 rolls of toilet paper for the 10 day stay, any extra is at a charge of $2 a roll.- Toaster was broken, rail covering for sliding doors to bedroom broken, so very noisy to operate.- Spa bath dirty and button broken.
