Amazing sculpture and master blacksmith

I have seen David Wood’s work over many years and have been impressed by his originality and quality standout sculptural work in homes (iron doors, gates, balustrading to metal art for interiors or the garden) and across public spaces in metropolitan Melbourne. And I have loved his numerous entries to national and international acquisitive sculptural awards. Twice winning People’s Choice Awards at Montalto Sculpture Exhibition. He just never disappoints. A master artisan with over thirty years’ experience honing his blacksmithing and artistic skills as a sculptor. Highly recommend him for public commissions or that bespoke decorative door or gate you want to make a statement with and lift the aesthetic appeal of your home. It’s not every day you can commission an artist sculptor to design and hand forge something for your home!

Ian Wood “Woody” created an extraordinary reception desk for my reception room which is both functional and flamboyant.The metal work is the centre piece of the area and gives the room the arty feel that I hoped to achieve.His work is often commented upon and has proven to be timeless.I still love it.

We had Woody make up a custom steel door to replace an old roller shutter. He was great to deal with, at a reasonable price and quick turnaround.
