It is one of the tourist attractions in the town worth exploring upon visit. It gives the feel of life people have led in the past living there. Reflections of irrigation and farming tools, local shops, mecial facilities and local culture can be experienced here. There is a section of the museum which is dedicated to portrayal of Italian migration along with the trade skills that came in.

Arrived late in the day and the woman at the desk said if we didn't have enough time and were free the next day, just drop by with our names and we would be allowed in for free. We spent two hours on the first day and another one on the second day at this incredibly fascinating site. Beautifully presented by volunteers and full of marvellous information about the pioneering families and people of the Griffith region. A little more on the indigenous heritage would have been much appreciated but other than that - full marks for a brilliantly brought together collection of relics, buildings and technologies.

So we were on holiday in NSW, our Son who lives in Griffith had to show us this great park. There is so much interesting stuff & antiques to see, so amazing & massive park. A great look into the history of the region, lifestyles, Indigenous History & Cultures. Also the settlement of Non Indigenous & other Ethnic Cultures . Historical buildings, Antique household Belongings, Furnishings & Features. Even a massive collection of Original MATCHBOX VEHICLES of all types, including the original packaging. Encased in glass cabinets, which was an attraction to everyone that was visiting the park, from the youngest to the oldest of any groups or families visiting the Park. You could take a guided tour thru the park, enjoy a BBQ or Picnic there with family or friends, there was a fully licensed Restaurant open to the Public for lunch or dinner there, that also catered for Functions like birthdays or other special events, but closed when we visited. It was also a training Restaurant thru the TAFE College, for people wanting a career in Hospitality. We were there for a few hours walking around the Historical Buildings & Farming & Industry Equipment. But as we neared closing time we had to leave, which we still had a lot more that we couldn't see, due to no time. On leaving we were able to purchase Souvenirs & a few drinks form the little shop that was there. It is a place you could visit as a group or family, but to see & take in all that is at the Park, I would recommend that to go early in the morning & spend the day whole there. You won't be disappointed, especially the Historical Person inside You. Be prepared for walking on dirt lanes & rocky or unlevel surfaces, it is based on top of rocky & dry hills. Aussie Outback dryness.
