disappointed. We used to stay here regularly because of it’s cute, easy and comfortable approach. We don’t expect luxury accommodation but this last stay was sub par.There were rats in the room, it felt and smelt like it hadn’t been cleaned properly, kitchen was lacking basic equipment to cook with and the dishwasher just ran on error codes.The worst thing was when I told the host by email, I never heard back. Initially I thought to keep it private but since I’ve not heard back I thought y’all should know.It’s a real shame because this place used to run like a dream.

When searching for Pet Friendly accommodation in Bicheno this shows up. Then rudely informed over the phone no pet friendly options at all. Not acceptable. Also, other reviews state dog friendly. Why so confusing?

This is one of those times when I wish I could give a 3.5. This unit is on a very good location and even has a reasonable view. It is well equipped with the basics, has been well thought out and I believe it is good value.On the other hand it is small for a self contained unit and you are going to be dodging around one another a lot and, while it was clean and well maintained, it's getting on. It could certainly do with a mattress with a little give for example.

Very comfy warm and spacious for two people. A little dated but well maintained and scrupulously clean.Pet friendly and we took large blanket for our small non shedding dog.Conveniently situated close to centre of town.Tess Way

A nice little home away from home.Very spacious rooms with all the little creature comforts you love to find when checking into a place.Electric blankets and a great range of local jams in the fridge.The only thing stopping this from being a 5☆ were a few little housekeeping issues. Soap and shampoo bottles from the previous guests were left in the shower and some of the glasses were still dirty.Quite a few pages were ripped from the guestbook so I can only assume a few others had similar experiences

Everything was perfect, clean and very comfortable. Hosts provided places to see penguins and we saw many. Beautiful view of the sea and had complementary binoculars to use. Large TV, large amounts of DVD’s, electric fireplace and reclining seats to looks over the ocean.

Nice cosy rooms.Would happily stay there again.Just needs a Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning or Ceiling Fan for the bedroom.

Absolutely awesome. Very clean and quiet. Highly recommend to friends and anyone reading this review. We stayed 2 nights. The area was awesome with being close to shops and restaurants..Do yourself a favour and stay here….
