Prime 40 is not your average gymIf you are wanting gimmicks, quick fixes and fads, this is not the place for you.If you have long range health goals and want to partner with 2 dedicated professionals closely monitoring your progress and whom you can call upon their experience on matters broader than physical exercise such as diet, supplements and longevity hacks – this is the place to go. If you are feeling sore, Kane is able to talk through the symptoms and is usually on the mark in terms of cause… he also has a wealth of resources of professional referrals.There are no more than 4 people in a group class, so there is always someone there correcting your form to ensure progression in strength.There are mini ‘competitions’ held designed to foster good habits. There was also a fabulous 100 + page recipe book for members to experiment cooking for healthy habits.I have been a member since early 2020 and although there were a few stops and starts due to lockdown, I have experienced progression and improvement in my physical strength and stamina and a noticeably toned body.If you are committed to your health and well being and want to see results, this is the place to go.

Tbh Kane has totally turned around my previous bad experience with trainers from various gyms I had joined before. There is no cookie cutter training plans as he designed personalised plan for all members. His methodology really does work well for me and he always has my overall health condition and goals in mind. It’s been almost a year training, I can now start playing basketball regularly again confidently and hasn’t been feeling this good in my body and mentality for a long time. Look forward to continuing the journey and meeting all my other goals with Kane!

I have been seeing Rosana for about a year. She is great at personalising a workout routine towards your needs and each workout session is never the same but always have a lot of attention to form. She has given me a lot of confidence for working out alone in a gym using the heavier and more intimidating equipment. She really knows how her client is feeling that day and can tailor the workout to you and knows when to push you within your limits. She makes working out very not stressful or intense, like how a lot of PT sessions can be but you still get fit and strong. I highly recommend Rosana to guide you through your fitness journey.

I'm 46, I've been working with Kane for several years now, and I've never felt better about my fitness and mobility.Kane is funny, inspiring, and I've watched him tune his approach to training me (as my needs have changed over the years), training my partner, and training my early teen girls — each of us getting not just our own programmes, but each a slightly different version of Kane (each version suited to what will encourage us to do a little bit more, try a little bit harder, and go a little further).Give Prime 40 and Kane a try — you won't regret it.

I discovered Prime 40 Personal Training online in 2022 year while trying to research trainers who could help progress me through a back rehab process. I was ready to move on to strength training after a number of months doing physio to help with a low back issues which arose during the lockdown years.I could not be happier with my progress. After 7 months of my program I have advanced to a point of having no back pain, no tingling and being able to even get back to running. Kane and Shaneal targeted my specific needs and pushed me safely to levels I did not think I would be able to return to. The program has helped me build strength, understand how and when to stretch and most importantly has educated me on how to do all of this safely in a supported and supervised way.I’m looking forward to seeing where this takes me. I highly recommend Prime 40. I was a worried 49 year old thinking that I would have back problems forever, but these guys have changed that for me.

TLDR - he really knows what he is doing and the gym is a great vibe.I have been working with Kane and the team (Shaneil and Faye) at Prime40 for the past 12 months and I am 10/10 extremely satisfied with the results + love going to the gym every week.Not only has my strength and endurance improved, but I have also completely eliminated neck tension headaches since starting with Kane, life changing! One of the biggest accomplishments for me has been finally being able to do chin-ups, something I never thought I would do.Kane is a well rounded trainer and is not just focused on my physical fitness, but on my overall well-being. He helps with advice around recovery, sleep and habit formation and is constantly up to date on the latest science that he shares with members. He’s not into the BS of the fitness industry and remains laser focused on improving movement, building muscle and creating resilient bodies.Kane personalises each members program and always makes sure I am comfortable with the workouts we do. And the best part? I've been strength training for over 10 years and been a member of numerous gyms with different personal trainers. What Kane and the team offer at Prime 40 is head and shoulders above any other kind of training I've experienced.Training is tailored specifically to you and what your body needs to become stronger and more mobile. Group sessions simply mean that a maximum of 4 people are in the gym at any time; you are all doing your own workout under the watchful eye of Kane or Shaneal. Every session starts with a check in on how your body feels that day, with any aches and pains addressed and workout modified to accommodate if needed.Form is paramount, and the utmost care is taken to make sure that you reap the most from each exercise without exacerbating any underlying niggles or issues you may have.The camaraderie that comes from attending a small gym, primarily focused on over 40's training is a delight. The team challenges that run once a quarter are designed to allow each individual to focus on their own goals whilst contributing points to a wider team effort: no naming and shaming like in school!If you are looking to learn how to build strength for life, this is the gym for you. Training at Prime 40 has been so good for my body. The benefits are great; I feel strong and stable, have much less neck tension, no tension headaches and no aching in my hips at all. I have had fantastic guidance with recovery from a shoulder issue, training without interruption thanks to Kane’s expertise in adapting my program to suit my needs. There is a really friendly atmosphere at the gym. I love going there and keeping track of my progress through the tailored program.

Kane, Shaneal & Faye are passionate coaches who have helped me to make exercise and nutrition a part of my life.I used to think doing my at home pilates classes (occasionally) was enough to maintain my fitness but I've come to learn a better way to get results and keep them: a strength plan tailored to me and performed consistently. It sounds silly but now I do everything better - I walk better, I stand better, I sit at my desk better. I get less aches and pains and I actually look forward to pushing the prowler! (An inside joke)Prime40s keep updated on the latest in evidence-based exercise and are happy to answer all my questions about nutrition & exercise.
