G&E Professional Auto Repairs

Have been using George for over 10 years and I cant fault his service. Very hard to find a mechanic you can trust and George is that. Always honest and up front with what is required and costs involved. Highly recommend!!

George is the best in the 'biz! His knowledge and care for his clients/cars is second to none. A very honest man, who does an excellent job. As a woman in her 20's, I have always found it quite intimidating and stressful to find a good mechanic, but I know I'm in excellent hands with George & his son. Thanks guys! :-)

I visited them many months ago but just remembered to review. Hopefully they've improved....I unfortunately can't give this business a good review even though I would've liked to. Usually I go to my VW dealer because I don't want any hassles from mechanics but decided to shop around for a change. Initially it went well despite him giving me a bit of a hard sell. He kept asking for my quotes from other mechanics. I had a few quotes verbally given to me, so I gave him the price I wanted and time I needed the job done both verbally and in writing. After he checked with his suppliers he agreed... but kept going on about seeing other quotes. In the end, when I brought my car in, he said I brought it on at the wrong time and things went sour from there. I got annoyed because it felt like he didn't trust me (1) he repeatedly kept saying that he doesn't want to give a cheap deal with Chinese parts even though I repeatedly said I've only gone to my VW dealership for servicing (2) He questioned why my plates had changed...why does that matter? (3) he kept asking for quotes from other mechanics... I got quotes verbally but he said he needed to see them in writing ??? (4) he didn't put anything in writing which led to lots of miscommunication. I ended up going to Autoclass SC who are a short distance away and were no fuss, clear communication and did an excellent job for a good price. I'm sure G&E are good mechanics but they need to work on clear simple communication and put things in writing.

I have used G&E Professional Services for over 25 years and have always found the business to be professional, efficient and reliable. George has great knowledge of cars and has serviced my Commodores, HSV, BMW, AMG and now Porsche - Very Happy Customer over the years.
