Jan and her staff offer great lunches and a large range of cold drinks, coffee is also very good and you can get a coffee card 10 coffees ...I love the wraps chicken and chilli is very delicious...this place is so groovy as all the memorabilia make this a great little stop when travelling the outback...FJ's is usually open like all stores in the hot outback till 2pm ...if you like Elvis memorabilia she has quite a few treasures...you should come out this way just for the experience even!

The volume of Holden cars Juke Boxes & Elvis memorabilia is amazing. Have not seen any better in all my travels. Quality of food was a bonus.

Google said it closes at 2 (I have updated to the correct time), however we went in at 12:55 on Saturday with our 3 young kids and the lady threw put her arms in the air and said (loudly!) “No! We close at 1! The fryers are off” then shot us a cranky look and walked away.I admit on the way out I did see a sign next to the door that said they close at 2pm on weekdays but 1pm on Saturdays.I’ve heard the food is good… it’s the attitude I didn’t love. Unfortunately I can only rate my experience.We walked up to the local servo who kindly said “sorry guys, we don’t have hot food here, you could try …” and gave us some suggestions.

This cafe came highly recommended from a number of locals in Hughenden and also in Charters Towers as we were driving through. We stopped for some lunch and the place is amazing! It is kitted out with lots of Holden memorabilia and also vintage music and car items. I had a bacon burger and it was really tasty. Like others I will recommend it to people going to Hughenden too.
