simple pub menu which looked good when food arrived it was very disappointing. Small I’ll presented and overpriced.Burger was bland and small and chips were dry. Owning a very busy hospitality venue ourselves We expected better and we’re shocked at the lack of quality versus price. Of the 5 people in our group who all ordered different meals from cheese burgers/southern fried chicken/blt only the blt was reasonable snd nothing like what we serve for half the price. Very disappointing indeed having know previous owners where food was fantastic. Would not ever eat there again or recommend to anyone

Lunch extremely disappointing as regular return travellers we were shocked, ordered cheese burger and chips $16 (as always do) to share and asked to pay $2 extra for a plate! Burger was tiny on what I likened to a small woolworths Mini Broiche bun served with handfull of chips. Also ordered children's meal a pizza, ham and pineapple $10 was served 1 peice pizza with a few chips . All left hungry . Not like it used to be sadly.

Great country pub. Friendly staff. They did a really good job catering for a big group.

Made a 7pm booking for dinner and it was such a huge disappointment. We waited 45mins for our starters which came out lukewarm. Mains were another 25mins after that. Chips were cold, salads were mostly cabbage - no tomato (as seen on other customer plates), half slice of cucumber or two. Lamb was chewy, kids’ meals were sparse and the steak was okay. We also had to wait additional time as the gravy was missed. Better luck next time?! Bar staff were fabulous!

On holidays and popped into this little town and pub. We had booked rooms. When we got there, the short dark-haired lady was rude from the start to when we left that night. She even told us to go over to the caravan park. So, 5 of us did... The lady in the caravan park was lovely and very accommodating, and the cabins were just perfect......We went back to the pub for dinner. I asked for a glass of wine, and i was poured a sour glass. I tried my friends wine and hers was fine. I said something to the lady. She was so rude about it . She said to me. Maybe i shouldn't drink Sauv Blanc... i said, Sorry...She repeated herself

We had a very nice meal and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful well worth the visit

Friendly service in a historic location. Generous servings of tasty pub food. This place is a must if you’re in the area. Sit out in the courtyard if it’s a good day.

Such a great place to stay - we hadn't even heard of this place when we booked it for a stay at the snow when everything else was booked out. We were surprised at how absolutely gorgeous the rooms were, impeccably clean, and beds so comfortable. Each bed had an electric blanket, and the room was heated. It was a little noisy as it's part of a pub, but that was part and parcel, and the noise died off by 10pm when we were heading to bed. Very clean shared facilities (shower etc), and free brekky included in the morning (toast, cereal, coffee etc).Dinner was absolutely delicious - a typical country pub menu, but so well executed. Some of the best crumbed cutlets and soup I've ever had. We will 100% be staying again. A big thank you to Sharon for taking our booking and helping us to our room. Country hospitality at its finest. We will definitely be staying again!

Was looking forward to dinner last night after reading reviews. Steak was ok but salad consisted of a few shreds of cabbage & carrot a single slice of onion and one cherry tomato cut in half, a handful of dry french fries. I saw other meals going out and they had the same poor salads really not good enough
