Andre.is very professional luthia. He is meticulous with his work and provides valuable advice with regards to string instrument reparation and restoration.

Andre has performed extensive and difficult repairs to two of my violins now. Only a fellow luthier would even spot the repairs, they are so beautifully done. The sound has been transformed as a result. While he cannot make a pig-in-a-poke sound like a Guarnerius, he can certainly bring out the best in a violin if it is somewhere there to be had.

We commissioned Andre Ozturk to make a violin for our daughter for her 18th birthday. What a great experience!We were invited to be involved in the creative process from the beginning. Andre sat down with us and asked exactly what sort of instrument we had in mind - appearance, colour, tone, character, size, whether for solo or ensemble playing. Our daughter enjoyed looking through Andre's pictures of beautiful old famous violins and identifying the physical features that appealed to her, also having to think about what sort of sound and tone she liked in an instrument. As a result, she feels that the finished instrument is truly hers.Andre would invite us into his workshop at intervals to see the violin at different stages of completion, which was interesting for us. (we've made a little photobook from the pics we took). His communication with us throughout the instrument commissioning process was excellent in all respects.The finished instrument is all we had hoped for. The violin has a beautiful sound and the high level of Andre's craftsmanship and his attention to detail is evident.We would highly recommend a visit to Andre if you're thinking of commissioning an instrument.
