North Stradbroke Island Bus Service

Extremely rude bus driver. Honked at us loudly and stuck his rude finger up for slowing him down when we were going the speed limit…. why would this company not fire someone like this? Other comments on here of a similar nature too.

Easy, affordable and convenient way to see the island!! About 30 seconds after we got off the ferry we were on the bus!I’m already planning a return trip.

I travelled with some friends on the bus service last Tuesday. Visited Amity and Point Lookout and had lunch at the Oasis Mexican on our way back.Friendly drivers and comfortable bus. I was able to sit back and relax and watch the scenery. Very easy and cheap way of getting around.

Bus was on time but driver very dour and grumpy - not suitable for tourist spot - requires more engaging character. Also......and this one made our group mad as all hell.....we asked to go to Point Lookout. He took our money (5 people) but never once told us that beach had been closed since early morning. It was obvious we were looking for a swim - swimsuits with shorts over, towels draped over shoulders, etc. We then had to wait another hour at Point Lookout for him to return and take us to Cylinder Beach, which was open. Surf Lifesaving should be communicating with bus driver what is going on and this cranky unwelcoming driver should inform tourists when beaches are closed. Not good enough !

Great service took me from Ferry at Dunwich to Point Lookout for whale watching!

Stradbroke island is such a beautiful place to visit. Thank you NS Island buses for a good service.

I am a regular to Straddie. Bus service is a cheap and easy way to see the island. Daily ticket is only $10 ($5 for students) and you can jump on and off the bus all day. Cash only. Comments about unreliability are simply untrue from my experience.

If I could give it a 0 I would. There's one bus driver imparticular- middle aged man, plump, facial hair, rude all all hell and overall bad driver. He nearly ran my partner off the road whilst myself and our 1 year old baby were inside. Hes tailgated me when i was driving in the 80km zone, i pulled iver to let him pass as i had my child inside ans felt uncomfortable, he flew past doing ALOT faster then 80km. Then I witnessed him today blaring his horn at a 80year old women who was trying to help another elderly women into her car. He gave the finger to my partner when he saw him.

The gentleman on the bus today at 1230 and we headed to Amity Point dropped us off was very polite and helpful and love to catch up again. Thank you we an inter change of drivers

It was my first time visiting the island and I didn’t realised I needed cash for the bus.The amazing bus driver helped me out let me catch the bus into the point, asking and trusting me to pay for a return ticket when I was headed back to the ferry.I don’t know what I would have done if it weren’t for his generosity so thank you so much!!I genuinely couldn’t rate this amazing service higher, definitely recommend.
