Maitland Basketball Association

The venue itself is really nice, however 1 1/2 years ago, management were very discouraging when it came to someone wanting to shoot some hoops. 1hr of free play from 3pm til 4pm, and only if you are a registered player with Maitland. Refused to let my 5 year old son and myself to look at a court (at 12pm midday) to show my son what a basketball court looked like and if he would be interested in playing. There was no one else in the entire stadium. I was told that there could be anything happening at any time on any court. There are 4 courts tgere. What a poor excuse. We decided to go to Broadmeadow instead. Felt more welcome there. The Aussie Hoops program for kids is a great scheme but after trying it at both, Broadmeadow definitely runs it better.

If i could give it a 0, i would. This place used to be a pretty good place to play comp basketball under the old owners. Now since the new owners have taken over this place has went so far downhill. First of all i wouldnt be leaving such a negative review if the prices werent so unreasonably high, the prices I/ my team pay per player is $300 for game fees, $100 for registration and $50 for each team. And the services delivered are less than lackluster! To start this the manager(s) are downright rude and aggressive. particulary the older female manager(s), to start their customer service is terrible for a place that charges so much and offers so little. Personally me and my team have had many unpleasant moments with the managers that seem a bit unnecessary, one of which they held us and the other team back on the opening game becuase they said we had not payed our fees"

Great facility, but they are never consistent with opening hours and they only pick up the phone 10% of the time. So frustrating

Attended this site foe a karate tournament. It worked well as a venue. Adequate local on street parking. Convenient toilet facilities, though inadequately supplied for the numbers on site. Seating for spectators is basic but adequate and enables good views from top tier.

We were watching youth league game today. The commentator was loud and very cringe-worthy, making fun when the opposing team missed. It was embarrassing. This isn’t the NBL, why are we discouraging and shaming young players?

Facilities it self are great, management needs some work - seems to always be issues with refs or lack thereof during social comp season.

Good venue. Could use more seating for spectators.

6 courts, access to public transport- walking distance. Walk down the road to cafes and restaurants. The stadium cafe was great, wish had more variety of fruit/salads. Toilets clean.
