Snowy Range Horseback Tours

I would definitely NOT recommend this company. We were made to ride through rain, hail and sleet for hours. No back up car or satellite phone for the safety of riders. One lady was taken to hospital by a passing car and the rest left in freezing conditions until help was sent. I can’t believe they are still allowed to operate.

A great experience with a real High Country cattleman. Kevin is incredibly knowledgeable and his horses terrific.I would recommend his rides to anyone and cant wait to ride with them myself again soon.

We just finished the most incredible ride with Snowy River Tours and Kevin and Melissa Higgins! It was the most authentic Snowy River experience I could have hoped for. The horses were amazing and well trained, and Kevin is the real deal. He is an authentic Australian horseman who is an expert at his craft and an incredible fountain of knowledge of the Victorian Highlands. I could not have asked for a more amazing experience! Went from the NT to go riding in the Victorian high country. The weather was wet, but the misty rain only added to the experience. Kevin & the horses were great, really enjoyed it.Dan. NT Stockman.

In an environment that is as harsh as it is beautiful, local knowledge comes at a premium with Kevin, Mel and the supporting team of some of the best at Snowy Range Horseback Tours.There is no sugarcoating or fluffing about, common sense is top priority and when the safety of patrons and horses are the most important priority this business is second to none.Accommodation and surrounding areas are clean and tidy, working areas are in good order and gear is well looked after and knowledgeably used.Food is hearty and plentiful, Walks is a true gentleman cook.I have taken part in a 3 day camp/trail ride in the Wonnangatta in March this year, recently completed a 2 day weekend ride of the weekend past and have already booked the 6 day Man From Snowy River Ride in Jan 2023.Some may have alternate opinions but let me assure you that I recommend Snowy Range Horse Back Tours to anyone who really wants to experience the Victorian High Country in all it’s beauty and rugged charm.To conclude, it’s like anything in life. If you have a positive attitude and carry that positive attitude with you, you will get it back two fold.

We rode with Kevin earlier this year and had a wonderful experience. Good food, happy horses and comfortable beds. He is so knowledgeable and if you were ever in trouble in the mountains he would be the person you would want to be with. The Victorian High Country is WILD and unpredictable. Don't ride in the high country if you want comfort and predictability. We really look forward to more rides in a magical part of the world.
