Amazing food, the chef came to our table before we ordered and guided us based in our preferences. There is not only Chinese food, it also have Malaysian specials. I had an Malaysian chicken curry with coconut milk rice. Was just perfect!

I enjoyed eating here a lot. The chef was so accommodative, giving us recommendations on what he thought we would like and the number of dishes we should order based on 9 people. Service was really good, food came out in no time. The portion size for each dish were quite big, tasted delicious, and pricing was very reasonable - very much worth the value. Recommend to go here if you want good quality Chinese and Malaysian food for an affordable price!

We really enjoyed our dinner here where Chef Ken made it personalized and special by greeting us and having a bit of a chat.The food were all good. Fast service nad very friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

Peking Chinese restaurant is located in the alley way between the main road Argyle St and the post office on Clarence Street. It's front entrance doesn't inspire much and seems basic. It looks like a traditional country town Chinese restaurant from the 80s.Likewise the menu does also. There's spring rolls, curry puffs and prawn toast on the entrees/starter list, lemon, plum and oyster sauce versions of chicken, pork, beef and the likes.There's the usual Beef in black bean sauce and cashew chicken dishes. The desserts are everything with ice cream - deep fried bananas with ice cream, fruit salad with ice cream, and so on. I'm sure you could have deep fried ice cream with ice cream.Similarly with the traditional 80s menu style is the Wine, spirits and soft drinks that are available on the drink menu.The staff are kind and friendly. You are greeted and seated at the table with a complementary plate of prawn crackers.Dig a little deeper and there are hints of a few gems ... Mee goreng, chat kway teow, seafood hot sizzle plates, and san choy bao. Even these sound common and plain these days.However don't be fooled, the dishes are well presented and have a very home cooked and delicate well balanced flavour that tantalises.The san chow bao was filled with pork minced, crunchy celery, on a bed of crispy light noodles. A decent amount of Fresh prawns, scallops and squid are present in the seafood sizzle plate, along with a generous amount of veggies; all cooked to perfection.The cook/chef is Ken, who came out to greet and talk to us. He asked how everything was and asked if we liked things spicy or have the flavours changed. Ken invited us to return where he would cook something special for us.This restaurant is a delight and a wonderful surprise. Definitely worth a visit. You'd be a fool to pass Peking Chinese restaurant by.Ask for Ken to cook you up something special that's not on the menu!

Great hospitality, nice staff, and good price for the amazing food!The chef gave us complimentary fruit platter after we had our meals. We came back the next day for takeaway as well.Peking’s special fried rice is delicious!!Thank you once again :)
