Cheap and cheery but amazing food. Service was brisk and basic, but what you would expect at this type of place. We want to go back. Had the beef sandwich loaded with cumin and chillies and was delish in a crispy thin bun, and then the biang noodles. Very moreish and tasty.

Our go to restaurant in Box Hill. Authentic food from Shaanxi province, great value and great quality food. They're also very fair with portion sizes. From the outside the restaurant looks a bit average, but don't judge a book by its cover!

Shaanxi-Style Restaurant
Very delicious and tasty different style of Chinese food. We always get the biang biang noodles with lamb skewers and pork dumplings. The noodles are our favorite as the noodles have a very good thick texture with tasty sauce. Highly recommend eating here to try this style that’s different to the typical Chinese food.

The homemade biang biang noodles were super tasty and had a good texture. The portion sizes were huge and they were reasonably priced. We also tried the lamb skewers and it was grilled perfectly with the right about of spice and the meat was super tender. Would highly recommend this place for authentic Shanxi cuisine (northern China).

Absolutely delicious and super underrated place! Doesn’t look anything special from the outside but the food is total knock-out … don’t judge a book by its cover!We had the pigs ears and lamb iron pot noodle soup. totally traditional Chinese food that even satisfies the ‘western’ pallet.Seriously, cannot rate this food highly enough!! Went two nights in row… enough said.
