Fish & Fowl

Up until today I would go in weekly and buy salmon and other fresh fish or deli items. I always appreciated what they had on offer and enjoyed immensely everything I purchased from there. I was always offered a receipt, but never bothered as never felt the need.My last purchase of salmon was prepared in the way we usually have it, but both my partner and I were unable to eat it.Today I asked Matt (the manager) if the salmon was sometimes frozen and I told him of my experience. As the conversation progressed he became increasingly defensive, cutting me off and started accusing me of being hostile. Interestingly, I have previously witnessed him treat other customers similarly.I am so disappointed. I have always enjoyed supporting this fine local family-owned business. Can't go back while ever he's there though. Very arrogant and unpleasant individual.

Perhaps the freshest seafood you could find in the mountains, I was impressed. Australian local business seemingly run and owned by aussies. The food is fresh and delicious, love the sashimi salmon! I will be back.

As a cat lady, I’m used to somewhat disparaging attitudes when I pop in to a fish shop before Christmas for 6 prawns for my cat for the festive season. Not so a few days ago. Gentleman who served me was friendly, helpful and delightful, understanding that a distinguished kitty deserved the finest in fresh deep-sea seafood. I stole a few, as taste control, and I can assure you that my kitty’s wolfing down and appreciative meows were on point.Thank you. I’ll be back!

Bought snapper FILLET for $46.95 per kilo today ... I thought fillet mean No bones... The fish is full of bones.. Never again.

Went to get seafood for a white sauce dish... staff very friendly and helpful in choosing the right fish

We are local to Katoomba and this seafood/deli has to be one of the best I've come across in our extensive travels. Everything is super fresh, fabulous range of all sorts of interesting, yummy things and all done with a friendly smile from the excellent staff.Thank you

These guys know their fish! First class recommendations of their fresh fish and scallops. We were traveling in our caravan and they also freely offered cooking tips to get the best flavours out of their produce. A unique shop with great service. Well done chaps.

I bought some kingfish from fish and fowl and it was absolutely delicious, I went back there the next week and got some Spanish mackerel and it was delicious and fresh, I highly recommend this store to anyone who loves fish

Hi guys ...Thanks for the amazing seafood that i purchased off you on valentines day (a little late for the review ....but better late than never right??). Both the prawns and oysters were amazing, in taste and quality and freshness...i must say i was a little apprehensive to buy seafood from up the mountains way (a first for me ) however i thought id give it a chance and i must say i could not fault it at all...The shop was tidy, clean and well organised (immediate brownie points there .....i will most definitely use... Fish And Fowl...for any seafood id like to purchase whilst heading out on camping trips etc .....if I am going that way you definitely have my business.Thank you again guys
