Great addition to Ferntree Gully a small community. Great to see records back enough to have a whole shop dedicated for that one item. Clean looking shop friendly staff and wonderfully welcoming, great customer service. Being open 7 day a week is wonderful. As the holls are a strong musical community this is a fantastic addition.

first time here and very impressed having been to many record stores both locally and abroad. selection is plentiful spanning across multiple genres with competitive prices. David greeted me when I entered and assisted me with zero hassles. i felt very welcomed and look to return again!

We just moved into the area and I couldn't believe my luck when I saw this place! Their range is unreal... I don't event understand how they source some of this stuff, you can tell the owner just gets it. Incredible!!!!!

Best record store in Melbourne! They have a large selection of different genres to suit anyone, anything they don't have is easy to order in with no hassle. Always a warm welcome and wonderful service from the owner and staff. Highly recommend!

For maybe 7 or 8 years i have been searching for a really great record shop since my favourite shop Quality Records changed owners and closed in Malvern...Today i found what i have been looking for all this time.. a shop where as soon as you walk in you receive a warm greeting. You listen to some good music while you browse the huge selection of varied music. The owner chats with his customers like he really cares about them and there choice of record. He has a great knowledge about all genres of music. So today is the first of many times i will go to Captain Stomp Records..A true hidden gem away from the hipster havens of the inner city stores.I can't wait to shop again and add more to my already large vinyl collection.
