FLAVA Korean BBQ Melbourne Restaurant

I found out about this place from instagram and finally we went there for dinner last night. Staffs were very friendly. Make sure you book the place if you are coming for dinner on the weekend. One of the condiments was cucumber chilli .. that was so tasty! We ordered the FLAVA combo for 5 of us plus fried chicken and seafood pancakes. The kimchi was a little bit too much vinegar on it The corn and cheese was a little bit too runny according to my liking. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a pleasant experience. Our drinks didn’t arrive, finally we got them after we’ve reminded them. The soup part the condiments didn’t arrive either. Once again we’ve reminded them and finally we got it almost towards the end. From the beginning I’ve asked 2 staff members who were around our table that we would like to cook the pork belly at the end, as two of my guests are not able to eat them due to religious reason. One male staff came to our table and just put the pork belly instead the prawn. I told him is it possible to cook the prawn somewhere else or change the hot plate after the pork belly, but he didn’t understand what I was trying to say. I felt frustrated, didn’t really enjoy the whole experience. The pork belly and the prawn were tasty I must say .. I do hope they will be more organised next time .. to improve the service

Reasonable price and friendly staff. Free flow of side dish, mix salad, lettuce and sauce. Will be back again for sure.

This place is great. Food is really top quality and reasonably priced for the quality. The staff are attentive and do a great job to cook your food on your grill without you even noticing they are there. We will definately visit again

Don’t recommend for BBQ here, the electricity grill was not powerful at all, a lot of water came out from my meat when we grilled it, made me feel it’s similar like a cheap buffet bbq place.Fried chicken was so so, not like the Korean fried chicken shop, less flavor and the coating was not that crispy.Seafood pancake was the best bc they put enough seafood in, very generous, but the dipping was so so.No service was fine for me, but the price was not that cheap for a no service place by we have to cook and cut meat by ourselves.

The food was excellent, and the decor is lovely. It was nice and warm inside on a cold winter's day, but the huge space felt very empty. The service was friendly but a little slow.So many businesses have gone broke in the enormous space Flava now occupies. We went for Friday lunch and the place was perhaps 1/4 full - I hope they're doing better at other times. Overall a very good experience!

Found this restaurant on instagram and thought we give it a try and we don’t regret it and definitely coming back again. Food was delicious, staff was friendly, big open space and customer service is great. Totally recommend the WAGYU SET (600G FOR 3 PEOPLE]WAGYU SCOTCH FILLET, WAGYU PORTERHOUSE, WAGYU RIB MEAT. It also comes with COMPLIMENTARY BASIC SIDE - BBQ VEGETABLE / CORN CHEESE AND CHOICE OF 1 SOUP (PORK KIMCHI/ BEEF SOYBEAN PASTE / STEAMED EGG CUSTARD). Keep up the great work team!

Went there because of all the great reviews… and it was just ok. The food tasted fine but it was too expensive for the three dishes ordered. The waitress was very friendly though.

We went here during their soft launch/opening on NYE and it was amazing.- The tables and chairs are perfectly designed for Korean BBQ, with the tables being from Korea and designed with pull-out drawers holding extra napkins/cutlery.- The cushioned chairs have buckets underneath to store any items you want to store safe and away from the delicious scents of the BBQ.- We ordered the beef set (A), I would say it's enough for 4 people, or two very hungry people. The set includes vegetables, corn cheese, 2 rice servings and a choice of soup.- Also ordered the Korean BBQ Chicken with sweet chilli sauce (INCREDIBLE).The staff were so friendly, Errol Street has needed something like this for some time now. We are looking forward to bringing our friends here to enjoy it with us.Thank you!
